The blue of this dress is gorgeous - it almost looks like a gemstone color! The lining is very smooth and soft, and the overlay flows with the dress. The top was fitted under the bust area and then had some room at the neckline and hip area. This was a perfect dress that needed no adjusting throughout the evening. I wore a regular bra but crossed the straps in the back (like a racerback bra) in order to prevent it from showing. The dress moves with you and feels light as air - super comfortable for a long night of dancing! I wore 4 inch heels and it fell just at my toe line (without stepping on it in the back). I paired it with the Ella Carter Jesse Bracelet, which looked beautiful!

I wore these earrings with the Plein Sud "Love or Lust" Gown for a charity gala. Since the dress had a halter top, I did not want to wear a necklace, but definitely wanted to draw the eyes up to the beautiful cut of the neckline of the dress. These earrings were perfect for that! Large enough to be seen (even through my long hair which was down), but tasteful enough to not look costumey.

The picture does not do this dress justice - the red is gorgeous & deep! I opted for the 42R since the material was more fitted around my hips than the picture seems. I am very pear-shaped, so the bottom portion of the dress ended up being completely fitted around my butt/hips. The top fit well but it's definitely hard to wear a bra with since the back scoops a little lower than a usual bra line. I ended up buying one of those gel stick-on bras with the front closure & open back since there was no way I was going bra-less in this dress. The fabric shows a lot, so you may want to wear spanx or smoothers if you have curvier areas like me. If you have any kind of a womanly figure, this dress will look very sensual (not overtly sexy though!) simply because the fabric really shows off your body.

This dress is timeless and classic elegance. The underlay/liner was super stretchy, which made fitting it over my hips much easier! I'm very pear-shaped (usually wear a size small on top and then 8/10 on bottom), so the 8 fit better overall. I felt that the 6 would've made me feel uncomfortable throughout the night since I would've had to keep adjusting the lace overlay. I was able to wear a normal strapped bra with the dress, which I especially appreciated. I opted to tie the ribbon just under my chest (as some other reviewers mentioned) because I found that it looked more flattering to my figure - as opposed to tying it around the waist, as pictured. I wore the dress with formal satin nude peep-toes and a nude clutch.
