I couldn't attend the gala. 2weeks before, I learned I likely had a state 4 cancer. A few days it was confirmed. I emailed RTR as soon as I knew I was going to the hospital; they refunded me almost immediately. The dress was in the mail! My hub brought it to me and I tried it on. While posing 5 docs walked in to go over a scan, which I did in the dress! Thanks for making my day, RTR. And rent this dress! It has a great shape and is very comfortable on. Plus you'll be turning heads all night!

This dress is adorable, but not too cutesy. Sophisticated, but still fun. It's short, but not scandalous. I'm 5' 5" and it came about two inches above my knee. I'm in my early-40s, so this dress worked for me, but it would have looked great when I was 20 too. The red is a rich tone somewhere between ruby and wine, but closer to ruby. The fabric is substantial, but could be worn in any season. I wore it as a wedding guest on a summer evening with gold heeled sandals and a gold bangle bracelet and it looked great. I got tons of compliments. I am in between a 2 and a 4, and the 4 (40) fit perfectly. I'm muscular and straight up and down, so the fitted waist and the ruffled skirt added a little shape. I would size up if you have a larger bust or a proportionally thicker waist. I'd pass if you're looking for something professional, as I think it's a little too short for the office, but perfect for a party.
