Like what we called "reverse fit" jeans in the '90s...

I really wanted to like these jeans. but when I tried these on, I was going to send them right back, then decided to at least wear them to walk my dog a few blocks. I went one size down, to a 27, like other reviewers said to do, and though they fit my waist exactly, (which is very high,) because of the fact that the zipper doesn't have a flap covering it, I was very self-conscious of the fact that my lower abs protrude slightly more than my pelvic bones. (Most wouldn't even notice this on me, FWIW, and since I'm curvy in a Marilyn Monroe kind of way, and similar size and build, small waist compared to hips, they looked a lot like jeans did on women in the '50s, but that wasn't a good thing in this case, at least not in me.) There's a hidden button & a tab snap at the top that came open whenever I bent over, which was annoying, and they were difficult to move in because of the cut and the zippers. They weren't skinny jeans or straight legs, but since I'm old enough to have worn "reverse fit" jeans in the early '90s, I will say they fit in the same way. Meaning they were fitted in the waistband and pelvis, but got baggy in an odd way, like the original "mom jeans" did, in the thighs. They didn't fit closely to my legs anywhere, in a weird, "someone not shaped like me had just been wearing them all day" kind of way! At 5'4" with my 31" inseam and short torso/high waist, they came exactly to the top of my ankle bones, which was fine. However, another issue with these were the zippers in the legs. There was no backing material behind them, so whenever I lifted my knees or bent down, etc., the zippers rubbed my legs in a REALLY uncomfortable way. I spent 20 LONG minutes in them and couldn't wait to take them off, and when I did, there was another surprise: my knees and part of my thighs and calves were blackish where the zippers rubbed them. These would work best on someone with a very small waist, concave lower abdomen, and rounded, full legs.

Perfect Fit!

I LOVED these jeans! I'm short-waisted AND high-waisted, so these came up to my actual waist and for once, I didn't have "bucket butt!" The fabric is a really nice, sturdy denim, but not too heavy. Though it says 100% cotton and other reviewers felt it had no stretch, it does have a bit of "give," just enough to be comfortable while still doing what "old school" jeans used to: it holds your stomach flatter and lifts you in the back. I have a 31"inseam, and I never expect the length to be like the model's, but these came down to my ankles like regular skinny jeans. I just rolled them for a cropped look. They ARE very bubblegum pink, but pastels and colors like this are on-trend. I just had to be careful to pair them with neutrals, otherwise I might've looked like "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!" I wore them 2 or 3 times though, and if they'd been a color that wasn't so "oh there are those pink jeans again," I might've bought them, but again, the fit was so flattering compared to most skinny jeans on my somewhat problematic legs that I'll definitely rent any pair from Current/Elliot and probably start buy this brand.

Goes-With-Everything Metallic Jacket

I liked this a lot, and it filled a void in my jacket collection, so I bought it! The color is not silver, but rather, I'd call it "bronze." Close to metallic brown, and I don't wear brown, but it isn't close enough for me to not like it. I wanted a metallic moto jacket, and I like that this was kind of an unusual color, or at least not typical. It doesn't clash with whatever other metallic jewelry or shoes I'm wearing, either. The only issue with it is that in weather that's cool enough for me to need something a bit warmer than a jeans jacket, it can get very hot if you do any activity, (like while waking my dog and he decides he wants to to run!) It's also warmer than you might think if outs humid outside, even if it's in the 50s, and if you have those conditions and throw it on over a short sleeve or SLEEVELESS top, expect to have sticky arms & peel it off.

Great Top for Everyday!

One caveat- I wouldn't recommend this unless you really like bright colors or hot pink, because it is bright, but as a woman who's worn more black than anything else most of my adult life, I really liked this. The style is very comfortable but looks classy and works just as well with jeans as with trousers or a slim skirt. It's very easy to wear, one of those things you pull pout of your closet when something, comes up, (not formal, obviously,) and you just need to grab a nice top without any planning. The only thing that could be a problem for some is that it could possibly make bigger busted women look heavier, but it's still worth a try.

Nice Jacket for Mild Weather

This jacket for me perfectly, and didn't make me look boxy as some short jackets sometimes do. The color is a distressed gold, but the distressed parts look silverish, so it worked with gold and silver jewelry and shoes. I wore "pewter" colored shoes that basically look like faded gold, almost like the jacket, on one occasion, and platinum ones on another. It's very comfortable, but I wouldn't call it faux-leather. I've rented this twice, and I think it was new the first time & much stiffer, but now it feels like a coated fabric jacket, not a man-made leather. That wasn't a problem as far as I was concerned. It IS a much more lightweight jacket than you might think, great for California nights, or temps in the 50s-60s, depending on what you wear under it. It would also work fine indoors as an alternative to a blazer or sweater.

Cute bag, but smaller than expected

I got this because I wanted a bag that I could take out to a theatre that wouldn't be so large that it took up my whole lap or part of the seat, and it didn't. However, it was MUCH smaller inside than I expected. Only had room for bare essentials. Also, it has a magnetic closure that kept coming open because of how much I tried to put in it.

Pretty top, but very voluminous

I knew I was taking a bit of a chance on the size of this one since it's new & there aren't any reviews yet, but I got what usually fits me these days, across multiple designers: a small. Because of my chest to waist ratio & short waist, I often have trouble fitting things, or am between sizes but can usually make do. This top is very pretty in person & well made. The little "stars" are actually more like asterisks & aren't white, they're a light beige color. The top is also fully lined, but with a sheer black "chiffon-like" material. The ruffles on the sleeves are what makes the top. Unfortunately, it's pintucked around the neckline & there's a lot of fabric to it in general. If you're small-chested it might work, but this was much too voluminous in a small for my frame & my 36D chest which combined to make me look about 6-7 months pregnant, which wasn't the look I was going for! But like I said, since there were no reviews yet, I knew I was taking a chance. I'd say size down unless you ARE pregnant or have a generous mid-section. I'll get it again in a XS sometime though.

Didn't End Up Wearing, Too Short

This fit me so well except for one thing; it was inexplicably too short! I'm 5'4" but have a 31" inseam, so I guess that's why, or maybe I could've worn the 6, but I think that would've been too big. I was disappointed that I couldn't wear it, but you can see what I mean in the photo...

Warm enough for in-between weather

This coat fit me perfectly. With a lot of coats, the arms are too long, or too tight or too loose in the armpit area, or the sleeves are too sloppy looking, but this fit like a glove. I really like the retro 50s shawl collar as well. It's not for cold weather since it's mid-weight & open in the front with only one button, but great for Southern California winters & in between seasons elsewhere. I was actually going to keep it a lot longer, but the weather got hot & shows no sign of getting cool enough for this. Sad to send it back.

Nice bag, bigger than it seems.

I really like the multiple compartments, especially the one on the outside, in the back. It's big enough for my Samsung Note 8, which was really convenient. It's a bag that can transition from day to night, & isn't too big to carry out to a theatre, etc. I'd rent this again.

Beautiful, feminine top

This top is beautiful, no question! The lace is heavy & well-made. I'm almost always between a 4 & a 6, (& a 36C-36D) but the 6 wasn't as fitted in the waist, so it made me look heavier than I am. The 4 fit my waist exactly, but wasn't as comfortable as the looser 6 would've been. Everyone who saw this loved it though. The only 2 issues I had with it is that, like most designer garments, the zipper isn't heavy duty but it almost always has to go over a thick seam somewhere, which made it very had to pull up, especially I if it's in the back & you aren't especially bendy like I am! The only other issue is that the lace, as well as the liner fabric are a bit abrasive. I still loved it though!

Heavier than expected, good for in-between weather

I wore this on a day I had errands and an appointment in Beverly Hills and the weather was hard to predict when I ordered it, so I got a leopard "topper"as well. It fit almost as if it'd been made for me; just a tiny bit too much fabric in the torso, because I have a short torso & longer legs for my height. I had 3" heels on. The fabric is fairly heavy, which was great the day I got it since it was a cool day, & I got a faux fur coat to wear with it. I got several compliments on this and felt very put together.

Beautiful dress that actually fits me perfectly!

I actually haven't worn it out yet because I didn't end going to something I was planning on wearing it for, but I love it so much & it's one of the rare things that fits really well, so I'm going to wear it to something coming up. Then I'll update & post a pic. I'm 5'4" & my measurements fluctuate by an inch or so, a lot, but I'm almost always BETWEEN a 4 & a 6, & curvy at 130-135 lbs; my measurements are, on average, 38-27.5-38, (right now, that's where I am & I'm a perfect 6 in most things at 135,) & I have had a lot of trouble with the tops & the top half of dresses even though I'm a small 36D/full 36C but I don't appear that big- until I try something on! This fit great in the chest & is cut well for me so that whether I'm bigger or smaller, it'll still fit, as will the rest of the dress. The back of it comes to my achilles' tendon slightly above my heel, (my inseam is 31.5) so it looks like it was meant to be that length. If the price were lower, I'd buy this one, but I've also found that for my figure, Saloni seems to be a good choice. Also, this dress can be dress down with a jeans jacket & low heels, or just worn as a sundress with flat sandals. I think it would flatter pretty much anyone, as long as you are comfortable with the thin straps, but it could also be worn over a little fitted "baby" T-shirt or even a tank top.

I bought these, before it'd even rented them, that was a mistake

Cool, interesting statement earrings, but what they don't show you in the photos is that the back is macramé! The stones, etc., are literally sewn to fabric, I kid you not, & I have hair that didn't hide the back, so I'm trying to come up with a DIY fix for this. Luckily, I've made jewelry before..

Unwearable, couldn't even put it on

Let me start by saying I HAD to give it a star & check the fit box, (or it wouldn't accept my review,) though I didn't put it on. This dress, as you can see from the pictures, was TORN in two places when I took it out of the bag. It was as if the fabric had just frayed & couldn't be stitched because it looks like there was nothing to STAY stitched, even if anyone had tried to fix it. Beautiful dress, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but not worth trying again.

Beautiful lace, well-made

These are gorgeous pants, and the lace was amazing in person. The quality of the lace & the construction whispered "expensive," much more than many other equally expensive items I've worn. Unfortunately, I ended up not wearing them, at first because they were too heavy for the sudden shift in temperature at the time I'd gotten them, but after a few try-ons, I also realized that the heavy lace made me LOOK heavier, (though the pleats still helped define my waist, too,) and, as with everything I've rented and seen photos of on others my height, they were not the length they were MEANT to be, & while sometimes that's ok, it wasn't on me combined with the heavy/wider effect that they also had on my frame.

Dress it up or down

This skirt is very pretty & versatile. It can be paired with many colors, & dressed up or down. The length was perfect on me, & it wasn't too much fabric. I also liked the longer sides which made it more interesting. One caveat for some is that it's VERY high-waisted, (I'm high-waisted & it cut ok, but it would've fit a bit better on a taller woman,) however what isn't obvious from the photos is that it doesn't flow immediately from the waist; it's very fitted in the pelvis for about 12" from the waistband down to a horizontal seam, after which, it flows loosely, so those first approx. 12" from the waist are narrow & gradually get wider. Because of this & because of my shorter stature, combined with also being short-waisted & having an 11" hip to waist ratio, it's very snug in the hips & fits very flat in the stomach. If I eat much while wearing this, it'll become a bit uncomfortable, but a larger size would be too big. For those of you who wear Spanx, (I refuse to!) you might want to if you have stomach issues! However, also because of that straight, flat 12", I've found that I can just wear a top out over it as long as it hits above where it flows wider, for me that'd be no longer than my pelvic bones. But as long as the top is fairly fitted in the waist, it works fine. Overall, it's a really nice skirt that you could wear with a pair of Chuck Taylor's, wedge sandals, or pumps, etc.

Only for small chests....

I loved this top when I first saw it, but as usual with RTR's clothes, it's hard to tell how it will look on a woman with a chest larger than the model it's pictured on. Most of the things I've gotten in my size are too tight in the chest, or just barely fit there, I buttress because designer clothes are designed on flat-chested fit models. I got a 42/6, which should've fit me but at first I didn't even think I'd get the waist buttoned. Once I did, that fit perfectly, but I could only BARELY get the button above done, & aside from not enough room in the upper half, the darts seemed like they were in the wrong place; they kind of vertically bisected each side! As for any buttons above that, FORGET IT. I'm a 36C/D with a literal hourglass shape- g hips & bust measure the same, with 11" difference at the waist, and peplum tops usually fit well. Needless to say, I was very disappointed, because a bigger size wouldn't work either, & it's a beautiful top. I'd recommend it for someone more pear-shaped, especially if you want to hide hips & emphasize your waist, or an hourglass figure who's less broad on top. It'd be great for small-chested women, but if you're too narrow in the hips, your lower half might swim in the bottom part of this. It's heavily starched, & meant to stand out. Also, it would look good with wide-leg black pants, not just skinny ones. I would've given it 5 stars, but designers need to realize that most of us aren't completely flat-chested.

Fit was wrong for my shape...

I wanted this jumpsuit the minute I saw it & it didn't disappoint in person. The fabric is a good quality, fairly heavy denim of the type that's rare these days, & no stretch, which is a plus as far as I'm concerned, but in a sad twist of fate, worked against me. After seeing the size details, customer photos & reviews, I deliberated quite a bit about what size to get, & ended up getting a 6R, but I have kind of odd measurements, so I knew a jumpsuit like this could be tricky. Unfortunately, I can't wear it, though I can get it on & even button & zip it; it's just not the right shape for my shape, was a bit tight around my waist in a way that was very unflattering, & the worst part was that it wasn't tight enough to just get a bigger size- it would've been way too big, so it had to go back.

Beautiful, bright & summery

I actually haven't had the opportunity to wear this yet, but can't wait! It fits me pretty well, though I need 4" heels so it doesn't drag on the ground, that's fine since that's what I'm planning on wearing with it. The style of this maxi should work on almost anyone, because of its empire waist. Plenty of room in the bust, an area I often have a problem with, and no bra necessary! That's a huge plus in my book! Unfortunately, the weather hasn't cooperated for me to wear it without a jacket or blazer yet, and the jacket I rented to wear with it didn't fit well, so I sent it back and am waiting to get another since I don't have one of my own that I like with it. When I do wear it, I'll post a photo.

Nice substitute for a jeans jacket

First, I have to say I really liked this jacket. The fabric feels like a soft, brushed cotton, and it would be a great way to make a more casual outfit if worn over more dressy clothing - I'd gotten it to wear over a silk floral spaghetti-strap maxi dress, because I didn't want to wear a jeans jacket or blazer, and wanted to "dress it down." However, I didn't actually wear it, instead I decided to send it back because, on me, it was way too roomy, to the point that it made me look bigger than I am, though the sleeves were narrow and fit well except for being a bit long. If I went down a size, I'd be afraid it would be too tight in the sleeves or under the arms but still more roomy than I wanted.

This definitely isn't for anyone with a full C-D+ cup, especially if you are small in the waist and/or petite. It made me look very wide in the torso & the sleeves don't allow for any arm movement without crushing my chest. It would probably work best if you're built like the model in the picture.

Nice feminine piece

I got this to wear, not with a gown or dress, or even anything dressy, but instead, to add something interesting and unexpected to a casual outfit of ankle boots, boyfriend jeans, and the silk floral "moto-style" jacket I'd also rented, and I think it worked out well. The necklace isn't too heavy, not like you might think by looking at it. The reason I only gave it four stars is because the metal looks a TINY bit worn, and also, beware of the clasp- it does not close on its own, it stays stuck open unless you push the tiny lever in the opposite direction to make sure it closes, which I was sure to do when I realized this. I'm just glad I noticed it right away, before I'd left home.

I really like the look of this bag, the grommets, the metal fastener, etc, and the sturdiness of it, but the open sides made me nervous that something could slip out, and even though my handbags never leave my side, I'd prefer ones that fully close. I don't really understand this design, to be honest.

No particular event, I just like nice to wear nice clothes.

The fit was very close to the way I'd expect if it were made FOR me, except for one (rather, TWO) things- I USED to be a 36B/small C most of my life, but for some reason, as my shape began to change at this point in my life, my weight shifted to my chest, so the jacket was a bit snug buttoned because I now am a 36D/large C, almost as if I'd just gotten implants, so things that otherwise fit are often snug or too tight in the upper chest, a problem that's not helped by the fact that I have a short torso & am high waisted! It isn't a problem with this jackets, though, because I don't wear blazers buttoned anyway.
