loses its shape by 3 pm and the lurex starts to get scratchy. would be cute for a very casual night event

this dress is gorgeous. not lined but if you wear nude undergarments you cannot see them. the knit is thick and the dress is weighty. i was overly conscious of avoiding anything that would snag it, but that’s a personal problem!

lots of compliments!
looks great, got a lot of compliments in my casual workplace. i received this brand new with the tags on. i was surprised to find a zipper down the side that made for a nice shape but was hard to do up. also, the appliques are only lined on the front chest panel and the threads poke you constantly, so i dropped a star. hoping that will relax a bit for the next renter.

a standout at a winter wedding
this dress, like all other e&j dresses i've rented, was amazing. the color was unusual but not in bad way, and it stood out in the crowd of dark floral maxi dresses. it fit pretty true to size for an hourglass figure, and was seamless undergarment-friendly. it was comfortable to do everything in and the weight was nice for the winter-in-LA temperature. definitely appropriate for a formal-ish dress code

great color, good fit
i rented this for an unseasonably warm family wedding in palm springs. overall, the color was great and it was comfortable to sit/eat/walk in. when it came time to dance though, there was a fair amount of tugging at the hem and the straps. busty gals- there's no chance of even a strapless bra with this one, but i felt covered enough, and that was as much of an issue as the creeping hemline. bonus-it didn't show sweat even in 100 degree heat.

if i hadn't also ordered a dress that was more appropriate for the daytime affair, i would've worn this- i would probably rent this again. (if my boyfriend had been in town, this would have been the perfect date night dress). no bra, but there wasn't any distasteful sideboob-at 32dd, that is a feat. the skirt was swingy and fun.

the print was great!
so many people at the bridal shower i wore this to asked me about the dress. it was very cute and the print was definitely a hit. if youre an hourglass gal, the proportions are wonderful. i had to wear a bralette, without a bra there was definitely a squashed look to the boobs and it wasn't great. that being said, it was comfortable, it was trendy, and all around fun to wear

great dress for a backyard wedding
this dress was definitely fun to wear and the pattern made the length appropriate for a low key backyard wedding with no real dress code. if i hadnt had to walk in grass, i wouldve worn heels, which would make the dress much better. i had to safety pin it to wrangle the girls, and the darts didnt quite line up, so you'll definitely need topstick. overall, it was fun to wear and a lot of people complimented me on it

if i could wear this dress every day, i would. yes it requires a strapless bra, but it is so comfortable, so easy to wear, and extremely flattering. it makes a tan pop and defines curves like no one's business. heads legit turn when you walk in any room. will definitely rent again.

this dress was a hit!
if you have worn BM before, you know that the fabric usually has some stretch- due to the sequins, which are stunning, this one is a lot more stiff, so SIZE UP. i have a traditional hourglass figure, and the dress fit like a glove. i wore it to a large party thrown by my boyfriend's employer, and it was perfect. one other thing, the sequins can irritate your arms if you have sensitive skin and they make the dress a little warm, but if you need to make an impression, this dress is a great choice.

a hit!!!
this dress, like other elizabeth and james styles, runs a bit small. that being said, it looked great, and was very comfortable. i wore it to a black tie wedding in san francisco, and got compliment on top of compliment. due to the cut of the top, a bra was out of the question but the fabric was thick and smoothing so i never felt exposed while doing more than my fair share of dancing. rent this dress, you won't regret it!

this dress had a great amount of structure while still being incredibly comfortable. i wore it to a wedding weekend kickoff party at an upscale tiki bar, and the compliments poured in. cute, fun, bra friendly- all around great!
