Styling! - I almost 100% knew that the dress would fit, which if why I always rent Shoshanna. For me my moment was unforgettable because of styling. With the one shoulder I did a boho braid into a low side pony tail, opposite of the one-shoulder. I used my own earrings but also rented an amazing cuff, the Kenneth Jay Lane Sculpted Branch Cuff, which was a nice accent as well. Topped off with bronze and gold make-up, a nude lip and nude heels to elongate my legs. It was a different look than all the other girls at formal and even better - the look lasted me from beginning to end of the night!
I am a curvy girl with a large bust yet pretty long legs, so Shoshanna dresses work perfectly for my body. This dress was no exception. Even with really broad shoulders, the one-shoulder still fit perfectly and it was not tight or squeezing anywhere. My friend wore an almost neon pink dress and between the two of us we really stood out at the spring formal with bright pops of colors

I had been looking forward to wearing this dress for winter formal season since it went up on the site in July and I saw Selena Gomez rocking it. I think the bright gold earrings and cuff that I wore (both my own) along with the white sash on the dress lead to the best compliment I received wearing this dress, which was "You look like a Grecian goddess in that dress!" Overall this amazing dress made me stand out in a group where everyone was dressed to impress PS - my friend also rented one too!
- I am a size 8/10 depending on the designer and the size 10 fit perfectly. - The extra lining/boning was great because 1. it made it super easy for me to zip myself in and 2. the dress stayed up better too. I am bigger busted and was nervous about the sweetheart top because I didn't want to show too much cleavage, but the dress stayed put all night long thru dancing and all. - Also the skirt portion of the dress has a little bit of structure which allowed the dress to keep is shape all night long, so the dress made my curves look super smooth and I was able to move around without it being too tight in the butt/thighs - I have been dying to rent it and this was the PERFECT occasion for it!

Dress runs large so I rounded a size down. Everything was great except I would not recommend it if you have a larger bust because the fabric flares out on the hips to compensate. An adorable dress though

I LOVED these earrings! They were surprisingly very light and I wore them to dinner and out afterwards on a Saturday night and they did not feel heavy at all. Great as the only accessory to an LBD.

This is how I rang in the New Year 2012! While most girls wear sparkles all over on New Year's Eve, I stood out with this color, which is a such a unique shade of orangey-red. And the embellished pockets gave me just enough sparkle to stand out among all the people who were ringing in the New Year. My dress stood out so much that girls were coming up to me in the bathroom asking me "Where did you get your dress? I love it!" And I obviously sold them on RTR.
Like most Matthew Williamson dresses this ran a little small, but luckily I knew that and rounded up ... definitely ROUND UP in sizing, and also even in your back-up size. Especially since this dress has padded in the breast/bodice already there is no need for a bra and you probably couldn't wear one anyway. The slight padded cups and the sweetheart neckline makes for a very subtle yet feminine corset look. This dress has been on the site for awhile but is completely timeless and rents often for a reason! However, some of the wire and boning is starting to poke thru the fabric, so beware when wearing. Even though I had to round up a whole dress size, maybe could have even worn a size larger, the cut and the fit was so perfect and flattering, especially for a curvy girl, that I found it made me look even smaller than my true size!
