I wore this to my husband's police department's holiday party at a country club. He just started at this new department, so I wanted to make sure I put my best foot forward when I met all of his coworkers. This was a perfect dress for the evening. I got so many compliments. It's more of a plumb color, which was perfect for the holidays. The material is high-quality and I was able to wear a normal bra. The cut hugs your curves in all the right places — I felt like Joan from MadMen walking around the club. The only issue I had was that the dress is a bight tight around the hips. I am normally a 10, but the 12 fit better in the hips. Unfortunately the 12 was loose everywhere else. I slipped into some spanx and that definitely helped the fit of the 10. The skirt is also very fun, and I imagine if there had been dancing, it would have moved nicely. I would rent this again!

Aside from this gown being absolutely flawless, it has pockets! If you think pockets in a gown are overrated, here's a short list of why they are a marvel for the 21st century independent woman: 1. Store all of your cash and cards instead of relying on your s.o. every time you want a cocktail. Especially useful since the previous hiding spot (aka: your bra) caused bartenders to cringe every time you produced a bill covered in boob sweat. 2. Your oversized smart phone is no match for your undersized clutch! Simply place your phone in your oh-so-trusty pocket! BONUS: You can feel it vibrate instead of checking phantom vibrations every 10 minutes. 3. Headed to the bar to grab a round of beers for you and your friends? Drat! You only have two hands! Fear not, gentle renter, these pockets can carry all the bottled beers you need. 4. No idea what to do with those extra raffle tickets your sister-in-law just disposed of in your hands? Don't even think about putting them in your purse where they'll get lost among lipstick and car keys. Use those pockets as a bottomless pit of raffle-winning goodness. 5. Implement the age-old trick of putting your hands in your pockets and slowly backing away from awkward social situations. Creeper on the dance floor? Hands in pockets and back away. Two friends engaged in that same Angel vs. Spike argument? Hands in pockets and back away. Seriously though – this gown was my backup and I received compliments all night. It was the perfect length (I could have easily worn flats), I wore a regular bra, and even though the neckline was a little low and I'm pretty sure my father-in-law was embarrassed, I felt great all night.

I wore this to a bachelorette party where we were asked to wear our favorite LBD. Got so many compliments all night. I was a little worried since so many reviews before said there was an issue with the zipper, but I didn't have any problems. One piece of the wire boning in the corset did stick me early on in the night, but I was able to readjust it easily enough to be comfortable. The lining was much softer than I anticipated. Would definitely rent again.

My original selection wasn't available, which was a huge disappointment, but this dress literally saved the day! I wore it at my rehearsal and received so many compliments. Then, at my wedding, I had planned to only wear a rented dress for our pre-ceremony cocktail hour so guests couldn't see me in my wedding dress, but once I was in my gown, my husband and I realized I couldn't do our choreographed wedding dance! I changed back into this dress and we nailed our first dance right before dinner. I had to put my wedding gown on one last time (because I was sooooo in love with it), but it was so hot out, by the end of the night I had this rental back on! Renting a dress for my rehearsal and wedding was an amazing idea, and this dress in particular was a lifesaver. It looked great with the rented bridesmaid dresses too!
