Definitely order one size up! Or two!
I am not one of those people who pretends they can fit in a smaller size dress. I wear a 4 in dresses, sometimes 6. (I actually wore a 2 in the Kate spade dress I ended up wearing.) Never an 8. This was super tight and unflattering in the 6-- Truly I could barely get it on. I know it supposed to be body conscious- I was expecting that. But this wasn't pretty. :) too bad bc the fabric was rich and structured and I liked the knee length pencil skirt. Classy and chic.

I have NEVER received so many compliments on a dress!!! Loved it!
So unique and beautiful....I received a million compliments. Kate spade did not disappoint with very rich fabric and attention to detail. The bow is not functional, which was a relief to me bc I had no idea how I would tie it properly and keep it tied! A little steam iron and it looked just like the picture. It was much more comfortable than I imagined. I wear 34C and was still able to avoid those crazy stick on bras bc of the structure of the fabric. I would say it ran a little large bc the 2 fit (my only option) when I normally wear a 4 or 6. If you're slender at your natural waist then there is plenty of room for your bottom half below the full skirt. I usually lean toward a sheath or a conservative body-conscious dress but this was the best of both worlds--showed my figure yet amazingly comfortable and no need for spanx! I would highly recommend this dress! Perfect example of why RTR is so awesome... Unforgettable dress that won't just hang in the back of my closet bc it never can be used again.

Wore this to a formal Christmas party. It was perfect for the occasion.
Beautiful dress, very well made, thick lining. Very flattering, fit perfectly, accentuated my curves in a good way. True to size--I am usually a 6 and wore a 6. Received lots of compliments. Classic and chic, with just a little flair to make it special. bummed I didn't take any full-length photos.
