Bachelorette!
I wore this for my bachelorette party. Compared to previous Herve's I've rented, this one seemed to run large and didn't hug me as tightly, probably because it has been rented many many times before. It is a VERY low neckline, so you either need to have a small bust or be comfortable rocking a lot of cleavage. The style was flattering for my high waist.

Unique and comfortable style for a southern wedding
I loved this eye-catching style! First the cons: I've got some hips, so while this dress did flatter my small waist, it was constantly riding up and that black and white band right below the waist was NOT forgiving. I'm also much bustier than the model so this was bordering on too much cleavage for a wedding. I decided it was still acceptable because of the length (right to my knees since I'm 5'3) and the sleeves. I also tried the M, but it was too big at the waist and dipped too low at the bust for me. The pros: like all Clover Canyon dresses, this is a unique print and a very comfortable material to wear for hours. I got lots of compliments and enjoyed dancing in it!

Flattering but runs large
Loved this dress. It was sent as a replacement when another wasn't available. I'm normally a 4 or 6, and the 6 fit at the bust but lots of extra room at the waist and hips. I threw a belt on and it looked great! Very flattering and fun while still conservative. The material is quite thick, almost like a scuba suit, which a made it a little less than ideal for a summer garden party.

Ridiculously flattering
I LOVE this dress and hated to send it back. It was extremely flattering on my hourglass/pear figure, showing off my curves without being scandalous. I normally wear a 4 or 6, but almost wish I had rented the 2 as my backup, as the 4 was slightly large. I'm fairly short and was able to wear low heels with this dress, which is always a plus as most long gowns require giant heels for me. I was also able to wear a normal strapless bra, and didn't find that it showed at all through the night. The dress is so beautifully made, from the multi-tone gold thread embroidery, to the intricate beading at the knee, to the flowy layers at the bottom. I got lots of compliments. And best of all, the dress was totally comfortable -- no scratching under the arms, no need to constantly pull and tug to readjust. I wish I owned this dress!

Elegant and unique!
I loved wearing this dress. It felt classy and not too wild or sexy, while still being flattering and unique, which was perfect for my event (a formal awards gala). My only small complaints: because I'm quite short-waisted, there was too much length at the top of the dress, making it sag in the back. If I had bought it, I would have altered it by taking up an inch or two from the shoulders. As others have mentioned, the sequins are a bit scratchy, though nothing extreme. Otherwise, the fit was perfect -- flattered my naturally small waist (26) while allowing perfect room for my larger hips (38). The length was a tiny bit long for the 1.5 inch heels I wore for comfort but would have been perfect with 3 or 4 inch heels. If you're tall, definitely order the long length. The dress stayed in place, swished beautifully when I walked, and was structured but not too constricting. The matte sequins photographed well and were very festive without seeming too flashy or tacky. I wore it with a regular strapless bra, though I probably could have gone without. Unlike another reviewer, I never had to pull the dress up and my bra never showed. Though I'm fairly busty (32DD / 34D), this dress didn't show any inappropriate cleavage on me. It seems like there's some variation among the dresses in where the flowers are placed, so if I'd happened to have a sheer panel instead of sequins at the depth of the plunging neckline I would have felt a bit less comfortable. I got both the 4 and the 6. The 6 fit ok, but was too loose and not as flattering.

Lovely
I didn't end up wearing these earrings because I thought they were a bit too large for my dress and hairstyle, but they were absolutely lovely. Large and not at all cheap-looking, but very lightweight for the size. The posts seem to be made of quality metal as they didn't irritate my (very sensitive) ears when I wore them for a few minutes.

Felt elegant at a black-tie dinner
I felt very elegant in this dress! I was looking for something that would be on the more conservative side without being frumpy, and I definitely found it (although it did show more cleavage on me than on the model). The fabric was a beautiful color, a little brighter than the photo but still appropriate for a winter event. I liked how it was very structured at the top but with a flowy skirt. Don't plan on dancing (or driving), as the straps don't allow much range of arm motion. As others have mentioned, the fit is true to size in the waist but you might want to size up if you have a larger bust. I ended up wearing the 4 but it was a close call and barely zipped at the top. The 6 would have been much less constricting but I also though it didn't define my waist as nicely. I didn't find that the "support' in the dress did much for me -- both sizes flattened my chest so I wore a strapless bra. The dress was also extremely long on me -- it was still all over the floor even with 5 inch heels.

Gorgeous dress, kind of annoying to wear!
I loved this dress and might even rent it again, even though I share many of the same complaints that other women have already mentioned. The color and sparkle were truly stunning in person, and photographed beautifully. I thought the fit was quite flattering -- sexy without being too scandalous. You don't need any shapewear and can even go braless, though I felt more comfortable with a standard strapless bra. Now the frustrations. The sizing is quite odd. I wore the 2R even though I normally wear a 4-6, and even wore an 8 in another Nicole Miller dress (the Plum Metallic Ruched Dress). It was insanely long and I had to hold it up to walk even with 4.5 inch heels on -- no dancing for me! The straps are too long, which means they gape awkwardly in the back, and the front always wanted to fall down to display my bra. Since the sequin layer is heavier than the underlayer, the slip kept showing at the bust (you can see it in one of the pics). Fashion tape wouldn't've helped. The sequins were also a bit irritating under the arms, though I stopped noticing it after a while. I wore it with the Crystal Thorn Drop Earrings by RJ Graziano. My stunning friend is wearing the Take the Stage Gown by Badgley Mischka.

Gorgeous but a bit cheap
These earrings looked great with my dress (the Nicole Miller Sequin Tyrian gown), and I got a ton of compliments on them. They're very dramatic! Sadly the first pair I received had several stones fallen out, but RTR quickly sent a new pair. They weren't especially heavy, but my ears were very irritated by the end of the night -- my skin is fairly sensitive and I tend to find cheaper metals quite painful after a while. For the retail price on these I would have expected higher quality silver or gold posts.

Cool design, strange cut
The cut of this dress is quite odd -- it's tight enough to expose flaws if you fill it out, but with enough extra fabric to hang awkwardly if you don't. That said, I enjoyed wearing it and found it comfortable. And I got a lot of compliments from friends who are much more fashionable than I am! I was nervous about renting the 2 since I usually wear a 4 or 6, but I think it ended up being the right size for me. The bright orange color at the very top was not ideal for my olive skin tone -- I bet this would work better on more people if the colors were reversed from bottom to top. Compared to the model I am shorter and bustier, so the skirt was longer on me (almost to the top of the knee when I pulled it down and mid-thigh when it rode up), and the slit in the front exposed more cleavage.

Saw it at the last minute before a weekend wedding and had to try it on!
I was nervous to rent this dress because it had no photos or reviews yet, but I'm glad I took the risk. The previous Nicole Miller dress I rented (the Metallic Plum Ruched Dress) ran small and I ended up wearing the 8, but this dress ran larger and I wished I had gotten a 4 instead of an 8 as my backup. I ended up wearing the 6 which worked fine, but had some extra fabric at the waist and constantly fell off my shoulders. That said, it was still quite flattering and extremely comfortable, so I was able to eat a big meal and dance! It's plenty stretchy all over, and the skirt is flow-y (be careful what you wear under it if you want to salsa or swing!). I managed to wear a regular bra that matched my skin tone, so the straps weren't too noticeable under the lace sleeves. I felt it was modest and classy enough for a church wedding, but fun enough for the reception. Compared to the model I'm shorter and bustier, so it looked longer on me and exposed more cleavage. I imagine this color would look nice on a variety of skin tones. I wore it with flats and my great-grandma's clutch and pearls, but the neckline and style are pretty versatile.

What a treat to wear Nicole Miller!
Sorry for the poor quality of the photos -- the second one shows the color much better. The color was a glorious tone, almost bronze/brown in darker light, and a lovely sparkly (but not garish) plumb in the light. I was debating between a number of dresses for a special event, and when my boyfriend saw the page of my "loved" items he immediately pointed to this one unprovoked and said, "you have to wear that one." I tend to agree with other reviews: definitely size up, watch out if you're above a C cup, and have a friend help you with the zipper / buttons! I usually wear a 4 or 6, and the 8 was perfect. I ended up deciding to go with a strapless bra even though there was some support in the dress because the fit looked a little awkward without it. I think I would have been ok without the fashion tape, but it definitely helped me feel secure because I was showing a LOT more cleavage than I normally do. The length felt long enough to balance out the plunging neck, but still short enough to be sexy. It did ride up a little bit when I danced, but not too much -- the danger zone was more in sitting down, actually. The fit was stretchy enough to be comfortable and to allow some fun swing dancing, but also fairly flattering. I got a LOT of compliments and really hated to send the dress back.
