Hmmm
I mean, this is a tent. A pretty cute one, in a great color that can be hard to find, and probably great for a hot summer brunch or shopping, but I can't say it was flattering. It's a lot of poplin.

Loved it
The white silk lining in the arms makes folding them up quite lovely. The cut is generous without cinching too much material under the belt. The true summer/light summer color is kind of hard to find, because it's not just sky blue. Loved it.

The colors aren't subtle
Soft, super comfortable, probably great for hot weather. I didn't end up wearing it because I just didn't like the dayglo green + black + white effect, and putting a black cardigan over it somehow made it even harsher. Maybe if I had black hair, but with blonde this was just a no go.

Not for the meek
I love Ulla Johnson, but this one was too much for me, lol. Even if I wanted to stand out like a zebra, the placement of the print brought so much emphasis to the belly area I think I'd have to have a concave stomach to make this work, and even then I'm not sure.

It has a sort of pleat on the side, not a slit. It is actually very flattering, though this photo doesn't do it justice. The fabric hangs nicely as well, and the color is surprisingly versatile. Thinking of buying it.

In the end I decided against this one, mostly because I had options that were more flattering around the middle. This was a beautiful color and fabric, though, and the fit was solid. No fear of wardrobe malfunctions.

Super thin and comfortable, but the armholes cut so far inward on the front. That combined with the special seaming just makes this look boxy on me. Maybe that's why the model has her hip kicked way out - to create a curve.

Great New Year's Eve candidate
I'm pleasantly surprised by this one. It's a little scratchy, but that's what we get with metallic threads. The cut is very flattering, and the whole dress has decent give. I might wear it for New Year's Eve if I can find a bra cut low enough.

I didn't read the fine print, so showing here how it is only two small hooks holding the front together. It's still actually good coverage as long as the wind doesn't blow, lol. The green is much closer to olive in person than in the ads.

Every time I look at this on the hanger I think "picnic tablecloth," but it is cute and comfortable on. The cut is flattering. The black and white gingham is quieter than you might imagine. Altogether well fitting, lightweight, and yay for pockets!

Nice tailoring
It is a bit tight across a large bust, but it didn't gape open -- it just held the girls in. It's cut very nicely under the arms and across the midsection. Great, substantial material. Vibrant color. Lovely dress that looks more put together in person than in a lot of the photos.

Difficult to size unless you're very thin
This is so soft -- not at all constricting -- but to get a good drape on a lumpy body I was tempted to go with a larger size, only to end up with gaping armholes. I think maybe for the fall, partly covered with a nice jacket, this could be a fun dress. But I don't like to wear anything that requires me to keep it covered or suffer embarassment.

Such a comfortable dress. Forgiving in the midsection, flattering sleeve length, good weight of material. I will say the pattern (plus the cut maybe?) was a bit widening on my body, but I wore it several times anyway. It was easy to spend the day in this one.

The shoulder pads are no joke
This jacket is going to get a lot of love as big shoulder pads are coming back. The color is cute also. I caution against ordering too big a size, though, because between the pads and the cropped length it’s at risk of making the whole torso appear too wide. Better to go too small and leave it unbuttoned.

If you’re someone who does not need to wear a bra, this is an absolutely gorgeous, lightweight, breezy gown. I am barefoot in the photo and 5’6”, so it’s a nice length, too. There was just no way to make it work on my larger chest.

Perfect for a garden wedding
The light, flowing fabric and gorgeous, muted green pastel pattern on this dress made it a perfect pick for a summer garden wedding. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it zipped up all the way in the back. If you are big busted, size up.

Work horse
I love this shirt. It’s a well-made, versatile staple that goes with lots of different outfits. It worked well in very hot July, because of the breathable poplin and breezy cut. I ended up buying a knockoff but can’t recommend the Callas enough.
