This dress is gorgeous and the right person would get MANY compliments in it. I, however, should have chosen better for my body type. I thought I had ordered a petite, but I realized after getting the dress I hadn't. This made it extremely long on a 5' person and the top was also too long for someone with a short torso. Luckily I just grabbed a few safety pins for the shoulders, a pin to sweep up some of the bottom and it worked. While I felt a little uncomfortable because the dress was too large on me, anyone who is hourglass/pear would look fantastic in this. Def hid my hips and made my bust look great.

I'm not sure what type of woman this dress is best suited for, but it is not for anyone with boobs. While others said the top runs large, I actually found it to be a little snug, but the crepe overlay was saggy making my chest look really awkward. And while it was short enough for someone petite, the top was very long and as someone with a short torso, I just couldn't get it to work. If you are thin and athletic I think this dress would be perfect for you! One of the dresses I received was also damaged. I hope RTR does a better job of checking those things!

I had picked out another dress to wear and this was my backup, but the first was too small so I was slightly disappointed I couldn't wear that one. I wore this for my sisters bachelorette party and it worked great. I prefer things to fit a little snug so I think I fell a little bit between the 6 and 8. I ended up wearing the 8 because the 6 was a bit tight in my chest. I don't usually wear strapless dresses out of practicality of not wanting to be pulling it up, but I didn't worry about it at all wearing this dress! Even after having a few drinks and walking around the city, I never had to adjust thanks to the boning. The pockets were fun, but they do wrap around the side kind of far, which made me a little self conscious about my hips (but everyone assured me they made no difference). I got lots of compliments, even from strangers! Overall I think it was the perfect dress for the evening and would definitely recommend it.

I didn't end up wearing this dress unfortunately. The large wasn't available so I decided to take a chance on the medium. Being pear shaped, it rode up on my lower back. The chest was also a bit tight on me as well. If I had the Large, I think it would have been perfect. It's two pieces, the blue sheath under which has a bit of stretch in it, and the overlay. The overlay is a bit stiff, but not as noticeable once you wear it. It's also not a dress you want to wear if you're going to be lifting your arms up a lot. There is zero stretch to the outer sheath. It's absolutely gorgeous on though, even when I was squeezed into it I felt awesome.
