I didn't end up wearing this one. It fit everywhere just fine (true to size) except the length, which was knee-length on the model but squarely mid-calf on me, which looked truly strange with the style of the dress. I'm 5'4" - short, but not that short.

I wore this dress to my husband's high school reunion - most people were in suits and cocktail dresses, so it fit right in. It is head to toe sequins, but they're fairly "muted" as far as sequins go (and the midnight blue color is very pretty), so it's definitely festive but not overkill. It IS low-cut. I didn't need double-sided tape as some people have mentioned, but you will see about an inch of actual cleavage. I'm generally not comfortable showing any at all and I'm not sure if/when it's appropriate, but I was out of town and didn't really have a choice. It ended up being fine, but do take into account the kind of occasion for which you're wearing this!

The distance between the shoulder and bust is way too large - the proportions are way off, and I've never had that particular issue with any dress before...it's odd. Too bad, because I absolutely loved the color, and it was a cute style - fun and interesting but not too revealing. Good thing it was my backup style and the first one worked.

I had noticed this dress on RTR several months ago and immediately put it on my "heart" list - I loved the color! I finally had the right occasion to rent it - for a friend's daughter's bat mitzvah. It was a GREAT choice - totally unique and fun, and dressy without being over-the-top (90% of the adult women there were wearing some sort of LBD). The material is a somewhat shiny nylon - not heavy. It is flowy enough to be forgiving in the waist and hips. You can wear a regular bra underneath it if the straps attach in the right place at the back (mine did!). It is definitely low-cut for a C/D, but not obscenely so - I wouldn't wear it to a church or synagogue without something to cover up, but in a "party" context it is totally fine. (The bat mitzvah service was held in the catering hall where the reception was, and I got the assurance from the family beforehand that cocktail wear was the norm.) The biggest difference between the M and L is length - the M would fit someone between 5'4" and 5'6". The L was way longer, but not appreciably bigger around in the bust (which was what I was worried about). Overall - loved it. Where can I buy one??

This was my "Mystery Bling" to go with the David Meister Patriotic Wonder Gown. It matched the overall look perfectly and is a great piece, but beware if you have bigger wrists - it doesn't bend at all and can be very tight. I managed to get it on, but it wasn't terribly comfortable.

As the other reviewers have said, this dress is definitely gold/champagne in color (I tried to upload a photo but the file was too big). I rented it for a formal dance and it was a GREAT choice - fun and original, and stylish but totally "appropriate"! Great service from RTR - I'm totally sold on them now. :) The dress definitely runs just about one size large. I am really glad I trusted the reviewers and ordered a smaller size, because designer dresses usually run small!

Due to a recent back injury, I wore small black patent leather wedge heels and the "regular" length was perfect. This is a great dress - unique but not super flashy. Perfect for a black tie wedding. Flattering even for those who are not stick thin (though, as others have said, definitely wear the right undergarments)! The placement of the strap actually allowed me to wear a convertible bra in the one-shoulder configuration, which added to the overall comfort immensely! The bust area is definitely the "limiting factor" for size considerations. Great dress - it's staying on my favorites list!
