What a great dress! I needed something for a work function at a roof top bar in NYC. Although I don't usually like wearing black because I feel like that is everyone's go to, I did decide on this little number. I am so glad I did! I ordered my usual size 4 and after reading some reviews on the dress running a bit smaller I upsized with a size 6. I'm glad I followed the reviews. The size 6 fit like a glove! I received a lot of compliments and the dress truly looked like it was tailored made for me. I jazzed it up with a collar necklace also from RTR. Another fabulous experience with RTR. They are my go to for all my events!!

I had a work function at a rooftop venue in NYC to attend. This was one of the dresses I rented. Its a beautiful dress and the color is just amazing. I ended up going with my second RTR pick. I'm 5.5' 135lbs 34C. I found the size 4 a bit tight. There is no give in the material so although it fit it was a bit snug in the waste when sitting down so I opted not to wear this one. I was planning to wear this with gold sparkly heels and a gold clutch also from RTR. I did notice as others mentioned that the lining was longer than the lace overlay. The lining kind of bunched up underneath and once you smooth it out it was hung down so much longer. All in all a nice dress just not for this occasion.

There is some give to the material which helped although I think a size 6 would have been way too big. I got tons of compliments and I felt like a million bucks. Its a very dark navy blue with black lace. Honestly in a dark club or lounge the dress looks black. Its not too short or too revealing for a work function. I wore with gold sparkly heels and a gold clutch also from RTR. Would totally rent again. I did not want to send this dress back! I wore no bra due to the lace detail in the back. I think wearing a bra would be tacky so don't do it girls! The material is thick enough where you can't see anything. All in all this is one hot little dress and a great alternative to the typical LBD.
