I had actually ordered 2 dresses for "Law Prom." This was the second option, technically. After buying all of the accessories for the other dress, I still ended up wearing this one, mostly because literally all of my friends thought it was drop dead gorgeous. The material is great. Thick, stretchy, form-fitting where it needs to be, but not too tight or too loose. I ended up wearing a backless push up bra from Victoria's Secret. It definitely was not necessary, but I felt a lot more comfortable because I knew I'd be dancing around all night. I paired it with black Kendra Scott drop earrings and simple black pumps… one of my favorite cocktail dresses ever.

Fit is pretty accurate. I usually run between a 4 and a 6, but chose the smaller size for this occasion. It is tighter through the waist/stomach area, but also a material that doesn't show lumps and bumps--so do with that what you'd like. I'm 5'6" and the length was very classy. I wore it with black tights, and it looked great... so you can definitely swing it in the winter too. I was nervous about the material having silver specks because gold is my jewelry of choice, but I still rocked the gold with no reservations. I think it would not be a good choice for a more formal occasion (again, because of the silver specks), but for a wedding or a semi-formal event, it is very appropriate.
