This dress looked significantly shorter on me despite my being the same height (5'10") as the model, according to the description. That said, it was certainly not inappropriate and I received a ton of compliments. I do long sleeves a lot because I don't like my upper arms but the off-the-shoulder neckline kept this looking young and sexy (again, appropriately) despite its simplicity. I could see this working for a lot of evening events and will definitely consider renting it again if such an occasion presents.

This is a gorgeous dress with a very flattering overall fit (for a slim hourglass shape like my own and likely many other body types) EXCEPT that it runs VERY short for tall women like myself (I'm 5'10"). I ordered just the 4L size first and thought perhaps the length issue was based on repair work done to the lining/tulle of that particular dress only. RTR customer service was AWESOME as usual and sent me a 6L overnight to my hotel. I liked the fit a little (although minimally) better than the 4L for dancing as well as the softer look of the tulle but the length was no better even with the original lining intact: It was still almost 2" from the ground in my bare feet! I received a ton of compliments over the course of the evening but was very disappointed to ditch some gorgeous heels and feel self-conscious all night when my shoes and height are usually among my favorite dress-up assets.

These earrings are fine but a bit dull--not in that they're boring because the size and shape are both interesting but dull with regard to luster. There's no sparkle or shine to them at all, which I think you need for an evening wedding so your jewels can pick up what little light there is. Anyway, thanks once again to RTR customer service, however, because they exchanged them for a brighter pair in time for my event!

Some repair work had been done on the dress that made one of the seams lay kinda funky on one hip so I didn't wear this one to my event but I might have otherwise. Besides that, it was just a little large for me even though I ordered the 4 and typically wear a 6 and the material felt a little heavy, not so much that it was uncomfortable by any means but just somewhat surprisingly given the back and hemline details which suggest spring or summer seasonability to me.

I have had my eye on this dress since the first time I visited RTR. As pictured, it is one of my absolute favorites and I couldn't wait for an occasion to rent it. In real life, however, it is a terrible disappointment. The colors are vastly different to an extent that baffles me; you can see some variation in the pictures sent in by other RTR customers who've worn it but I don't see how it ever photographs to look ivory because the top is GOLD and the embroidery is very thick, both of which features make it seem much heavier and better suited for a winter event despite the delicacy of the tulle. The embroidery also makes the sleeves (which run a little short) very constricting while adding bulk around the arms, which I don't think any woman wants. Beyond that, there are other fit issues that make the dress awkward up top because the waistline is neither natural nor empire and the lining is just floats loosely inside the embroidered top. You'll need an extra set of hands to get everything to lay somewhat smooth underneath and then to do up the buttons. Apparently, there are many women who have pulled this look off in the past but be advised to read their reviews carefully because many of them mention some of the same things, they just didn't consider them to be deal-breakers like I did. All that said, RTR customer service is AMAZING and they were eager to make things right in time for my event so I am still a very satisfied customer.

This dress is a perfectly nice LBD but not quite as exciting as pictured. The lace, especially around the neckline, is not as fine (or maybe it once was but doesn't hold up well?) and the cutouts are not as noticeable (perhaps because the contrasting fabric behind it is a bit dull and not quite nude). The only potential excitement is the length or lack thereof, which was cause for me to wear my larger backup dress for an extra inch even though the smaller otherwise fit me a bit better. I was glad to have great earrings and shoes to pull the look together but ultimately underwhelmed by the dress itself. Nice but not a standout.

I am so torn between giving this dress a 4 or 5 stars. I loved it, my husband--who ordinarily couldn't care much less about fashion--offered to buy it, and a perfect stranger actually chased me down Bleecker Street to ask where I got it! So, in terms of the look, I'd definitely give it the full five stars. The fit, however, leaves me slightly less enthusiastic. I ordered a size up as recommended but wore the smaller because the difference in fit was negligible--there was ample room around my waist in both but little to spare in the arms of either (the lace has no stretch) and even less to spare in terms of length (honestly, beware if you are any taller than I)--but the 4 was brand new with tags on while the 6 showed some minor but less than thrilling signs of wear to the lace around the edges and had been lined in a different material that was more gold than nude with less stretch than the lining of the 4. All in all, this was a great choice for dinner and drinks in the Village but I'll give it 4 stars since the fit might be pretty limiting to anyone with a similar frame and different plans.

I ordered this clutch for a black tie wedding to which I had hoped to wear one of two RTR dresses, a black gown or a nude one, neither of which ended up being available at the last minute. The best of the replacement gowns turned out to be a deep navy so I was thrilled that this clutch could still work. The shimmer is just enough to make it interesting. The size is what I expected. I'd have liked a little more room for my touch-up stuff but didn't end up using any of it besides my lipstick anyway and there was definitely sufficient room for that, my phone, a couple other small make-up items and my ID, credit card and room key.

PROS: I wanted to keep these bracelets, which somewhat saved my black tie ensemble by providing some of the interest that my replacement gown lacked when my original order could not be fulfilled. I love, love, loved the look of them: They are very sparkly and appear substantial while being lightweight enough that I would probably have forgotten I was wearing them except that I kept receiving compliments on them. Now for the cons...there are stones but there is also glitter, which does shake off and get everywhere. It's not obnoxious but be forewarned. Also, if you are sensitive to impure metals, I hate to say that you may want/need to avoid these. I didn't notice it at all the whole night that I wore them but I developed a slightly irritating raised rash on my wrist the morning after the event.

This dress was selected for me by an RTR stylist as a replacement when the two I had ordered both became unavailable at the last minute. It is hard to see in the pictures how pronounced and severe the pleats are that run across the bodice of this gown and into the asymmetrical peplum. The midsection is way over-constructed and the fabric is very stiff, which makes it very constricting. Although I ended up wearing the same size in another Badgley Mischka for my event, I could barely get into this one and the darts were nowhere near where anyone's natural breasts reside after the age of 16! This is not a teenager's gown, however, especially since the color is also a bit darker than shown (like a dusty rose hue) and that gives it an older vibe. RTR nearly lost me as a customer when this dress was selected for me but I do have to commend them for their response after that point; the two stylists with whom I spoke the next day on the phone were very patient, understanding and accommodating and they overnighted me two more styles directly to my hotel. While I'm sure all of us can accept some risk by using a rental service, I hope it is a rare occurrence that both dresses from a single order become unavailable at the last minute. I also feel there should be some changes made on RTR's end to minimize that possibility while maximizing the advance notice and response time afforded to the customer (and the replacements should be pulled from the customer's saved favorites in the event that she cannot be reached). That said, I was satisfied with the end result and very pleased with their apparent eagerness to make it right so I will likely be using RTR again.

I was pleasantly surprised that the fabric is lighter and stretchier than it appears in the photos and I absolutely loved the shimmer but I was all the more disappointed about the rush accordingly. The 6L (the only size available to be overnighted to my hotel) was a bit large all over and VERY long--I am 5'10" and this still dragged when I tried it on with a pair of 5" platform heels! A size 4, maybe even a 4R, might have been perfect.

Since it fell an inch or two shy of the ground when I was in my bare feet and since I've read the other reviews in which a few women have said it ran longer than they expected, I suspect that I was actually sent a 6R, which is really too bad because it is otherwise even more beautiful than in the model photos--"younger" actually than it seems as pictured and with a nice shimmer to it.

This dress was selected for me by an RTR stylist as a replacement when my order could not be fulfilled at the last minute. While somewhat underwhelming to me when compared with my original choice(s), it is simple, elegant and entirely appropriate for a black tie wedding. The cap sleeve on the left gives the neckline some interest and distinction. The weight of the fabric is enough to feel substantial and hang nicely while being completely comfortable. The ruched waist and subtle trumpet cut to the skirt give it a really flattering, sexy shape without being too obvious. I was also able to wear a regular bra! Two potentially important notes: The color is definitely NAVY but it is quite a dark shade. Personally, I'd avoid navy and black accessories because it will likely mismatch but so nearly that it might look like you didn't realize it--I went with the shimmery nude clutch, silver and emerald accessories I'd planned for my other dress and I think they went very well. Also, be forewarned that the rest of the neckline is a bit awkward. I wore the 4L and the dress fit perfectly (even with a little room to spare) but the other shoulder was definitely a bit snug to pull across as it is shown in the model photos and it does not stay in place given normal activity. I would argue that this part of the dress is disproportionate to the rest of it. I'm neither model thin nor especially broad shouldered but I am 5'10" and I wore 4" heels with this dress and I just don't know too many women around the 6' mark whose shoulders will be narrow enough for it to fit as pictured--not a deal breaker but worth mentioning.
