I usually wear a 6 in dresses, but sometimes wear a 4. I am hippy so I usually wear an 8 in pants. I could’ve worn either the 6 or the 4 without fear of it falling out of place, but I liked the snugness of the 4 better. It seemed pretty low in the back — maybe that’s just the cut — or maybe I could’ve even worn a 2 (which I haven’t fit into since age 15). I think if I didn’t have hips to hold it up, it maybe would’ve felt too loose in the waist. But it worked for me. I really dig the lowcut 70s vibe, and I have several tops/dresses that are this lowcut, but none of them stay in place so well as this dress. There is no fear of a nipslip the way that the harness straps are constructed, no matter how hard you dance. The cons: 1. A lot of exposed back (maybe that is a pro to some though! I felt a little exposed) 2. The length - I am 5’9’’ and the long with flats barely reached the ground. It could look a little silly on taller girls (or with heels). The pictures I took are the dress with rubber flip-flops. It looked fine with low (1.5 inch pumps), but I didn’t feel like wearing those. Tall girls might want to make sure they have a cute sandal option to wear with the dress! Overall, a stunning dress that is constructed and cut well. 10/10 would recommend

This is a much sexier dress than it appears on the model--but would still be completely appropriate for a wedding, work event, church event, etc. I thought it would be more of a shift dress and not too form fitting, but it clung to my curves the perfect amount (tight enough to show them off, loose enough that I didn't need spanx). When I first tried the dress on, I was a little concerned by how bunchy it was around the top--I thought maybe I didn't have a big enough bust to fill the dress out--but that's just the way the dress is designed. When you have good posture, it smooths out. Cons of this dress: I wore this to a wedding with dancing. The dress was tight around my legs, making i hard to really get low. Also, this dress gives you T-Rex arms--couldn't lift my arms up above my head. So my hand dancing was a little inhibited, but I still managed to tear the dance floor up. I did a lot of shimmying looking over my one shoulder, which caused my date to make the comment that is the title of this review. Got so many compliments on this dress! Couldn't praise highly enough!

I wore this dress to graduation underneath my robes. It is exactly like the picture. Such a gorgeous dress. Would be perfect for anything bridal related. I will say that I wear a six 2/3 of the time and an eight 1/3 of the time, and in this dress, I didn't even attempt to get the 6 zipped because it would have been a real struggle. The 8 was perfect. I want to wear this dress every day forever always.

I usually wear a 6 or an 8 in dresses--I would say a six 2/3 of the time, an eight 1/3 of the time. I ordered the 6 and the 8, but due to a snafu, only got the 8. At first, I didn't even think I was going to be able to zip it up. (1) The dress has a very shoddy zipper (I had trouble zipping it even while off), (2) there is absolutely no stretch to the fabric, which is like a corset with boning, and (3) as everyone else has mentioned, it runs very small! With the help of not one, but two other people, I got it zipped-- one held the fabric closed as the other one zipped it up little by little. It took about ten minutes. I would not have bee able to zip this bad boy up myself. And as you can imagine, it was very tight. As my friend said, "It doesn't actually look too bad, but you can tell it's tight and uncomfortable and you're not even sitting down yet." I think I would have needed a 10 in this dress. (The picture included is actually with it not zipped up all the way--I only took snapchats when it was fully zipped and didn't save any pictures, and no way was I going through the ordeal of getting it zipped again to get a picture) I was disappointed in the straps, which is what originally attracted me to this dress. But to be fair, because I didn't end up wearing this dress, I didn't mess with them much. They were very loose, so that they kind of bunched up in a weird way. I think you could have taped them to be shorter, and maybe alleviated this problem a bit, but when you were dancing and etc I think the straps would still bunch up all over the place, even if taped. I've included a picture so you can see what I mean--what happens to the straps when you're taking a selfie so you're shoulders aren't straight back.

I wore this for my 25th birthday party, which was a pretty chill evening out. I was underwhelmed by the dress, as compared to past RTR finds. It was a cute dress (and I did get a few compliments) but I didn't feel like it was anything special. I usually wear a 6 or an 8 in dresses-- I have small shoulders but large hips. I just got the 6 because the 8 wasn't available. I don't think I would want to wear an 8, since the 6 was already baggy in the waist. But it was pretty tight around my hips and legs--I'm glad there was no dancing involved in my evening, because it certainly would have ridden up.

I wore this to dress to law school prom (which is basically like a spring formal). I got so many compliments on this dress while I was there, and also the next day from random Facebook friends who saw all of my pictures. If you have smaller shoulders, I definitely recommend this dress! Cute and sexy, plus the sparkles make you stand out, and you can dance the night away comfortably without worrying about boobs popping out or your dress riding up. FIT: I have very small shoulders and very large hips. I usually wear a 6 in dresses, but I wear 10/12 in jeans. I also have a small torso and pretty long legs. I got a 6 and an 8, and I was so glad that I had the extra size! The 6 probably fit my shoulders better, but it was so tight around my midsection that it would have been very hard to dance in without riding up. The 8 was maybe a little looser around my shoulders, but it comes with fashion tape so I taped it in place and it stayed put the whole night. It hit me at mid-thigh, which was exactly what I wanted. I was able to dance the night away without flashing my crotch at everyone. It didn't ride up at all so I didn't have to be worried about pulling my dress down every five minutes, either. Photos: I will echo what someone said that at a very particular angle, this dress can make you look wide in photos. But it's only a very particular angle, so I would not let it deter you! I had over 50 pictures of me pop up on Facebook the next day, and I looked faboosh in 48/50 of them. This dress make you look super skinny (especially if you have smaller shoulders)! The sparkles on the dress are not silver. They are a weird in-between of gold and silver, but I think they are more gold than silver. I found earrings that matched the color of the sparkles exactly, and then wore a gold cuff (that didn't match as well but looked fine), a pale pink bag with a gold chain, and nude peep-toe pumps. I also wanted to make sure my hair was up so that you could see the one-shoulder.
