nice fabric but small fit. I wear anywhere from a 4-8 depending on brand, and this fit very tight. I could have gotten away with it but it just wasn't flattering.

I ordered this through unlimited and wore it to work. I got a lot of compliments, and it fit nicely. I considered purchasing, assuming it was originally around $80. I was surprised the top was so expensive as the fabric felt very cheap.

The metal wires noted by another reviewer did not bother me in terms of comfort, but they floated and hit at an odd spot on my hips and the way they protruded gave me a very odd shape (think sticking out like saddlebags but several inches higher). The material is also thinner than expected, so I had to adjust my thin shell top throughout the day to avoid bunching and bulging. There is a bit of fabric at the top inside of the skirt, the top fabric is folded over but not really sewn in place, so a few inches of fabric there added to the bunching. Wanted this to work out, thought it would be a piece I'd keep, but it's too weird.

i've worn a few shoshanna dresses and know it runs a little big usually (when i weighed a little more, i did an 8 in a lace sheath with good results) but the other reviews recommended sizing up for your backup. i disagree. in the past i've been between 8/10 for fitted dresses (big butt) so i rented both of those, but probably could have done a 6. the print/style was great and i received a lot of compliments. great for a spring wedding. not short but not too conservative. however, the fabric is INCREDIBLY worn and pilling all over. it was fine for one event and dancing in a dimly lit room, but to give you a better idea i wouldn't have been able to sell a dress to a consignment shop in this condition. i see why it's renting for $35. i expected the fabric to be a smooth silk blend but it was a thicker fabric. as always, shoshanna flatters girls with curves so i would continue to rent dresses by this designer and tell girls with an hourglass shape to wear shoshanna.

Great dress. It was actually a back up after my original dress was returned unwearable. Despite the reviews, I didn't think it was too low-cut or scandalous. I wear a 36D/34DD but was able to go without a bra and not look too inappropriate for a wedding. The straps were a little long but it didn't bug me too much throughout the night - they didn't slip down that much. The first picture is a little dark but you can see that it's not too low cut. The material has a little stretch/give so it was figure hugging without looking like it was painted on. I wear an 8/10 depending on how tight the fit on my butt, and the 8 was perfect. bonus - it was a hot day and an outdoor wedding. despite all the dancing, the dress didn't show any sweat in person or in pictures.

let me start by saying i returned this dress for RTR credit and found my size unwearable/unflattering-- but will try for another similarly dressy occasion with the right size because the dress itself is cute. i got this dress in a large because the medium wasn't available, i had a coupon, and thought it was worth a shot. the back of the dress is really interesting, flattering, and cool. unfortunately the front of the dress and the bust were matronly looking. i have no problem not wearing a bra, but because the dress was loose on top it didn't do me any favors/give any cleavage to compensate for the frumpiness. i have an hourglass figure with a big butt, so the butt fit and the boobs fit (just not very sexy in front the way i'd want for a NYE dress), but the way the stomach was baggy was just really unfortunate. trying to pull the dress down only made it frumpier and less flattering. it's not short enough for a youthful party look, and the material is thicker so it's harder to work with. cute dress in theory and will have to see how i feel with the right size.

I thought the fabric looked very different in person and somewhat cheap. The one shoulder strap also would not lie flat. I returned without wearing.

I'm 5'6" and the dress hit mid-thigh... not too short but not too conservative. I've worn once to a party and rented again for a rehearsal dinner. I usually wear a 10 in skirts but a medium or 6/8 in dresses depending on how tight on the butt. I ordered both the 8 and 10, the 8 fit beautifully. Received countless compliments.
