Just okay
This was fine but the material is kind of a scratchy mesh that looked messy on. Couldn't get the wrinkles out. Not the best work by DVF.

While it's not stretchy at all, I think the sizing was generous (if a little snug in the hip area for me). So fun and flirty with the sleeves. Great for a Palm Springs happy hour!

My husband asked when I was going to churn butter
Honestly very easy dress to wear with smocking, but the brown color and full coverage (arms, length) make it drab quickly. Recommend styling with sneakers and a baseball hat for casual daytime cool girl look -- definitely not nice enough for work or occasions in my opinion

Nothing to really write home about but it's a solid and forgiving little black dress. The asymmetric hem does come up quite high in the back so beware :) it's not the best quality, and felt a lot like a dress you might buy from Forever 21. Probably wouldn't rent again but it worked out fine for a cocktail event.

Elegant & modern
Loved this dress. It was perfect for a cold weather gala, and so comfortable. The chest/shoulders were sized generously, and would be easy for gals more gifted up top than I :) I would definitely rent this again.

There's a lot happening here
This is cool? I am not, so I was confused by this. First, these are actually balloon sleeves. I don't think that was obvious from the photo. Then, the back has some elastic so you kind of have a little rolling crop top trying to creep up all day. The front has a cool rouching tie moment thing but also... it's kind of just some strips of fabric so as the top is making it's way up to your boobs (it will) the strips of fabric come apart so it's almost a cutaway moment at your sternum. I'm sure this looks cool on someone. I hope that it's you. It was not me, I didn't wear it out of the house.

If UPS was throwing a Gala
You should know, if it's not obvious from the photos, this is the color of a UPS uniform. This isn't a bad thing, but it is... something to consider. The fabric is fine and the draping is good. You can't go wrong with a wrap dress. At worst, you will look solidly okay. If you have style, you will probably put the right accessories with this and look chic as hell. I do not, so I looked fine and ready to win delivery driver of the year.

What is consistent sizing
Madewell, goodness gracious. A brand where I can swim in a size Large and then want to sign up for liposuction attempting to squeeze into an XL. This didn't even remotely come over my hips. I considered wearing it as a shirt. I am confused and concerned.
