I sized up because I got the hips and booty. Despite comments it does NOT have a long waist. I am your girl who has to legit buy long waisted swimwear and I can tell you this was tight

Small Waist but great for big hips
I have big hips but a small waist. The Medium was perfect and my waist fits size 4-6 dress so size up if your waist needs more width. The waist is velcro adjustable but only for so much.
