I knew going into it that squared-off armholes are never my best friend. That type of cut off has the tendency of making my arms look larger, and this dress was no exception. But I wanted to try because the dress is SO adorable on the website! Pros: can wear a normal bra; the design is unique and I got compliments on how adorable it was; pairs well with patterned black tights and black booties. Cons: the armhole thing; ran really small, as in I almost couldn't wear the bigger of the two sizes I ordered (granted, I know in December I was on the heavier size for me, but I have never been bigger than a 4, so for the 4 to be almost-doesn't-fit small was silly); the tulle got started tic-y and started to ride up. All in all, this was my least favorite dress that I've rented on RTR. I should have listened to my gut and not go with something I know doesn't work for my body type, no matter how cute it is on the model!

I wore this for NYE dinner with my hubby, and he loved it! Got compliments for other ladies as well, and that's always a good sign. I felt very sexy and classy in this off-the-shoulder dress. Pros: thick fabric that hugs curves like second skin; long enough to wear Spanx Cons: so tight that I could almost see the Spanx seam through the dress's fabric (in the dress's defense, I know I was a touch on the heavier-for-me side around NYE time hehe); there was a tiny hole right below the zipper in the back; the spot where the hole was did a little "duck tail" sticking out thing which I wasn't fond of Overall, four stars. Not my favorite dress, but I would wear it again!

I rented this with the intention of wearing it to Barrister's Ball (formal law school event), but plans changed and I wore it to a red carpet-themed sweet 16 instead. I was overdressed, but I didn't care because I felt like a million bucks in this! Frankly, I love the dress and wish I didn't have to return it! It's body skimming, hugs my curves in all the right places, and was the perfect length for me to rock flats (I'm about 5'7"). The one thing that keeps the dress from being five stars is that the ruching in the middle of the dress, while perfectly conceals any tummy bulge in the front, also ruched in strange places on my derrière. On the one hand, it ensured panty lines couldn't be seen, but on the other, it gave my booty a slightly strange look. But I loved loved LOVED this dress and would definitely rent again (hopefully for a more appropriate occasion!).

I rented this for a formal dance. I'm usually between a 2 and 4, which were the two sizes I rented. I generally wear a 4, but the size 2 fit like a glove! The dress was so comfortable and the fit was perfect---I was able to wear a normal bra and flats (I'm about 5'7"). The color is GORGEOUS, and I got a ton of compliments! I loved it so much, I wanted to keep it! On the model, it looks like the inner lining is shorter, but the layers were all the same length so that it wasn't transparent. One negative I would note is that the pleats on the size 4 were ironed out. Thankfully, the size 2 fit because it's not nearly as cute without the pleats.
