wanted to buy so bad

truly my favorite piece rented from RTR in a long time. the print is so different—reminds me of stained glass. i sized up for a little more drape but it does fit TTS. will likely be scooping this in a few months once the purchase price goes down.

compliments abound!

i ended up liking this more than i thought i would! was a super great piece to have around in early midwest spring—i wore it around the house, for errands, and to walk the dog. this is a funky piece (color and texture wise) and people noticed—i got compliments every time i wore it out. it does NOT have a jacket lining throughout, only on the shoulders, but that was fine with me, since it kept it lighter than the average shacket. would've purchased because of how versatile it is, but HOO BOY that price tag. definitely worth the rental, though!

nearly nearly purchased

kept for several rental cycles and nearly purchased, but i'm actively trying to thin out my closet and be more budget-minded so it wasn't to be (for now). definitely has a relaxed fit, and if you want something more fitted you could size down, but i think that might ruin the effect the designer(s) were probably going for. it's supposed to be loose and flowy! the fabric itself doesn't have a lot of stretch, also, so there's that to keep in mind. i wore this around north florida + ohio in april (threw a bralette underneath when i was going out to eat) and loved it. quintessential 'throw-on-and-go' dress with just enough details to make it interesting, and pockets to add just the right amount of practicality. i wore casually with birkenstocks, but think this could be styled for date night, a concert, or a party.

Wished they were true high-rise

These would've been perfect if they came up higher on the waist. They're a smiiiiidge snug but not so much I would say they run small (they do have some stretch but not a ton)—just something to keep in mind if you're between sizes.

Straps are an issue

I don't think the straps were originally too long, but after enough wears and washing I think they've been stretched out to make it so they're too long. Sizing down wouldn't work as it'd make it too small in the chest for me. It's a shame, too, because it's cute and otherwise fits pretty well.

Super easy "throw on and go" dress. Could easily be dressed up or down.

Couldn’t let them go

Took these with me to a wedding weekend in FL and got tons of compliments. I’d already fallen in love with them, so when RTR offered a coupon in June I couldn’t resist keeping them. I’ve worn them almost every day since. Comes with the original case and polishing cloth, just FYI, which was a delightful and unexpected bonus.

Purchased the moment I put it on

I actually didn’t even wear this out before purchasing with the July coupon. I tried it on and knew immediately it was a keeper and figured I would free up the spot in my next shipment, lol. So many ways to wear—open just at the top for a shirt collar look, all the way fastened for a mock neck, fastening just at the collar, fastening all the way closed except for a few below the collar/above the bust for a keyhole look, some in the middle for a flowy open look, and on and on. Material is a stretchy nylon-feeling mesh-like material but not scratchy or sheer—feels high quality and well made, and has the slightest sheen to it. 100% eyeballing the other color for a future shipment.

yep, they run small

I thought once I got them over my hips I’d be in the clear—no such luck, because the waist is tiny. Go up at least one size.

Gorgeous construction, super unique, but definitely a tight squeeze in some areas—size up!

Goodness gracious this dress is stunning, but if you have a broad torso/larger chest (or both!) you may have some trouble. I'm a 36C and usually range in a M-L in shirt size and the 8 was a little constricting in the bust/ribs area. I quite literally picked up my boobs to more effectively sit them in the cups of the built-in-bra. The straps definitely also dug into the soft skin by the underarm as well, but that was pretty bearable and could also be solved with a piece or two of fashion tape. It was definitely a relief to get it off at the end of the day. That said: this dress is seriously, seriously beautiful. Got tons of compliments at my graduation ceremony, plenty of questions about where I got it, etc. etc. Definitely a huge step up from the dime-a-dozen white/cream lace/lace-ish dresses you'd find at TJ Maxx or what-have-you, so if you want that classic look without blending in this is a good route to go. Dress has beige lining and the lace itself is probably more like a cream or ivory, so definitely don't expect a pure white! I wore with nude stilettos and they were a match made in heaven. Definitely no regrets, I'm just very glad that I ordered an 8 as my backup size! If you're larger in the shoulder/bust/torso, definitely size up. If you're slighter in those areas, you may be just fine in your usual size.
