Intricate yet light; comfort and elegance!
I wore this for my masters graduation ceremony and was absolutely delighted. The dress was intricate, beautiful and eye-catching, yet formal and elegant enough for the formal event. I would gladly own this for formal or business events, especially for daytime events. Incredibly well-made (heavy fabric, generous lining) and beautifully designed (ornate laces, lovely shoulder sheath). The design runs one size small in my opinion. Absolutely worth a repeat rent!

Exceptional quality and beauty.
What a glamorous elegant dress! Beautiful lacework, understated gold color, well-lined. The way it is designed, it actually wears quite formally and conservatively. I actually felt a little "old" wearing this dress - might be a useful illusion if I had to wear this to a very formal conservative work event, for instance. I ended up going with another RTR dress to better suit my occasion but would have been equally happy to wear this. Will definitely look for another opportunity to rent and wear this out.

Formal and glamorous!
Rented this for my grad school award ceremony. It was the PERFECT combination of formality of a business event and the glamor of an award/ recognition event. I was a tad worried that it would be too dressy for daytime so to keep it more casual, I paired it with open-toe heels instead of black stilettos and kept my jewelry and hairstyle to a casual minimum. Received SO many compliments. This dress, as all Marchesa dresses tend to do, runs small: I normally wear 2 or 4, but found that 6 was the best fit. Absolutely delighted by this dress - would happily rent it again and again!

Meh.
This was a substitute dress that RTR sent in place of another dress I ordered that was not available at shipment time. This dress was totally uninteresting. The colors and patterns were surprisingly grey and muted, not sweet and whimsical as the pictures make it out to be. Shape is not interesting or flattering on a thin frame. Runs HUGE. I could usually wear 2 or 4, but this 4 feels more like a 6 or even 8. There's a string cinch in the middle of the dress but even that doesn't do anything to bring the dress together. That said, this flowy dress might be flattering on someone with a bigger bust but go for the dress fit, not for the color or motif.

Cool cut, but runs small
Very cool design and lovely, flattering color but it ran small so I didn't get to wear to my event. Might try again in a future rental but at least one if not two sizes up.

Chic design but rather unforgiving fit!
Such a chic design! Nice silver metallic top and soft, comfy pants. But alas it ran small and short on me, and so I had that terrible "camel toe" look. Yikes lol! Might try again but at least one if not two sizes larger...

Beautiful fabric and color but couldn't fit
Was looking forward to wearing this but got one size too small (this was my first RTR so I was still figuring out sizing). Too bad for me because it looked to be a beautiful comfy dress with a youthful verve about it.

Just the right amount of formality and glam! Will ABSOLUTELY rent again!
Can't say enough how beautiful this dress is - as all Marchesa dresses tend to be!! I rented it for an evening wedding reception at one of the city's top dining venues and this was the perfect balance between a spring wedding and evening formality. Compliments all night! Note the entire dress is made of sequins (this was evident to me from the photos before I rented it, but some renters were surprised by how "sparkly" the dress is, so just want to clear up any questions). The dress sparkles, it shines, it has a delightful brightness and feminity about it. The off-shoulder neckline adds sexiness and sophistication. The cut is figure-hugging and the dress is very well made (heavily lined, perfect seams etc as you would expect a well-made dress) so you could even skip the bra and Spanx if you prefer. Rent it and enjoy how beautiful and sophisticated you will feel in this dress. One con that I have to mention: the sequins could scratch you up good :-( I didn't really notice it during the evening, but I noticed lots of little scratch marks on my arms once I got home

Beautiful stretch-y fabric but runs a little small
A cool stretchy fabric that really holds your form. No zipper, so it takes a little figuring out in order to put the dress on. I found that the dress ran small on me, even though I got a 40R which was supposed to be an equivalent of a 4US (which is my typical RTR gown size). So while I was looking forward to wearing this, I had to go with another dress.

Formal, elegant with an eye-catching neckline design
The start and end of this story is that eye-catching neckline! What a beautiful twist to a formal black dress. It is incredibly flattering without being too sexy for a professional event. Nice heavy fabric which wrapped and tucked all my flabby bits :-) The bodice ran a little small - I would've liked to have tried one size up but SR was all I had. I wore it just the same - snug but doable. Definitely worth renting, ladies!

Cute design, but slits run higher than the photos lead you to think...
Super cute design. I love the details in the skirt "strip" panels. And that same design carries up to the top in the bodice too. Very fun to wear. Chic and playful. However...note that the slits run fairly high up - I would say at least halfway up the thigh. You might want to consider if that's appropriate for your event - alas it was not for my event so I didn't pick this for my event. I also don't think I have nice legs / thighs so the slit design that ran up so high along my leg/ thigh area just was not flattering on me. Probably would be fine for most of anyone else who tries this dress. Sad I couldn't wear it because it has a lot of fun personality to it. Color, fabric and inner lining are lovely too.
