This was a replacement dress so I only had one size to try. This may be true to size for some, but I range from a 4-6 and the 6 was too large. I usually have to lengthen straps, but it would slip off my shoulder. Thought about strapless bra/tape but opted for a clear strap hook that connects the straps into a racerback - this way I needed no tape and was very secure. This did make the straps cut into my shoulders, but what can you do. Lastly, dress and material are gorgeous - others say people tell them they loved their dress - but this dress has minimal wow factor and was the least complimented gown I have ever rented.

I am 5'7" and felt the 6R was perfect. The length touched the floor and hid my feet with flats on. I actually wore flip flops because I knew I would be dancing and no one could see my footwear. With my 3-4" heels the regular length looked silly as it was above the floor and took away from the overall look, if you are going with heels choose the long. I did not wear a bra and the adjustable straps felt very supportive. The revealing cleavage made the dress feel more formal which I liked. I felt like a nice pop of color in a sea of black dresses. Pick a bold necklace to pair.

I originally ordered this dress in a size 6 based off the other reviews, then last minute started worrying it would be more comfortable in an 8. I only had the 6 since this dress was a second choice to another rental. RTR was awesome about sending me an 8 overnight the same day I had to drive to the wedding 2 hours away. I received it on time, and I there difference is so small between the 6 and the 8. The 6 was a more tailored fit and the boning in the chest area was close to my frame. The 8 allowed for a strapless bra, and the whole dress hung more loosely from my body and I never felt like I was 'sucking it in'. The top runs more true to size, but the bottom runs small. I usually wear a 4 or 6, honestly, I usually swim in a size 8, I was shocked how well that one fit. Lastly - the dress is more flattering on, but in photos I looked heavier, you have to angle yourself just right as it's shockingly not the most figure flattering dress. The ruffle and waist line made me feel wide.

I ordered this dress for a black tie wedding but did not end up wearing it. I was very worried about choosing a dress online without ever trying it on, and when it arrived my fears were confirmed. The dress is very pretty, I just plainly did not like it. The color and style just feel VERY bridesmaid and not modern or fashion forward in person. It seems more like a dress you are forced to wear, not something you would select as a wedding guest. Also, I found the natural waist sort of enhances the hips and is not the most figure flattering silhouette.
