Only for someone VERY short
This dress had the strangest fit. So far everything else I’ve rented from Câllas has fit perfectly in a 40, but this dress was so short the bottom button didn’t even reach the waist band of my underwear. I’m 5’7” and have a slightly longer than average torso, but that alone is not enough to warrant this short of a fit. You’d probably have to be under 5’ to wear this comfortably.

Needed help putting this on
I fell in love with everything about this top and ended up buying it. The brilliant Kelly green color and puffy sleeves are such a fun twist on classic gingham print spring & summer styles. Be warned if you have more muscular or bigger arms this will be an off the shoulder look, not fit like it does on the models. I actually liked it more that way, but be warned that this may not be for you if you live alone. I’ve needed help tying the back tight enough to keep the front from rolling down each time I’ve worn it.

Fun & classy look for summer parties
I wore this for my engagement party, and got tons of compliments. This dress is very well made, it looked and felt perfectly tailored, the lining didn’t ride up at all and I never felt like I had to adjust the neck line. It is a heavier fabric than I’d anticipated, but was very comfortable on a spring afternoon in the mid 80s. This dress fit true to size on me, but due to being a little taller than average with a muscular build I sometimes have to size up, so shorter girls, or those with a thinner frames may want to consider sizing down if they are on the cusp of two sizes.

Not designed for taller women
The quality was great, and I loved the button detail on the sleeves, but unfortunately this is clearly designed for someone much shorter. Hard to tell in the photo, but the bottom button is so high, that while the dress itself isn’t super short, the placement of that button meant that you could see my underwear from the front as I walked or stood still if my legs weren’t crossed. I wasn’t comfortable wearing it out of the house.

Beautiful fit!
This dress is absolutely gorgeous on. The halter neckline, key hole back, and fit through the waist and hips with a heavy but flared skirt was incredibly flattering. It may run just a tad large for some, I’m usually right on the cusp of a 4 and a 6 and this fit perfectly in a 4. I often find dresses to be a little short waisted on me with waistlines falling anywhere from 1-3” high above my natural waist and this dress fit perfectly, so if you are more petite this may not be the best fit first you.

Cross the straps in back!
The first time I tried this dress on I wore the straps the way they’d arrived in the shipment, straight down then tied across in back, and had the issue with some gapping on the sides others had mentioned. That completely went away for a perfect fit when I crisscrossed them, which I highly recommend, especially if you’re smaller chested. I did size up to a 6 when I often wear a 4, which was the right choice for this dress. This dress has a very flattering fit, the lined linen is a great weight for spring, and it has pockets! I would definitely rent it again.

Runs small, size up!
I’m so glad I sized up to a M I’m usually an XS-S up top depending on the cut of the item since I do have broad shoulders and an athletic build. It is such a fun stylish twist on casual or athleisure. I had to try a couple different strapless bras to find the one that sat correctly and had the same approximate cup size as the sweater. I would not recommend for anyone large chested. I had to wear it pulled down significantly lower across the chest and shoulders than I thought it looked like the model was wearing it, but when I did, it looked fantastic. Be warned, you will not be able to lift your arms above your head without exposing your entire bra or pasties, so be mindful of what days or activities you wear it for. I think I may end up buying this one.

Would be a great maternity dress
I’m usually on the cusp of a 4 and a 6, I rented a 4 in this dress and it is huge, but only in the mid-section. I think I would need to size down to a 0, but that it likely wouldn’t fit correctly in other areas if I did. I think it would make a darling maternity dress. It is not however for those with a straighter or hourglass figure. I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because the quality of the dress is pretty good, and I would have loved the heavier yet stretchy lining for the more tailored look that usually gives a dress.

Thinner & less forgiving than I expected
For a sweater material skirt, it was a much thinner fabric than I’d expected. It is very unforgiving at the waist and lower stomach, I had to wear shape wear under it to get it to lay flat enough to be flattering. The shimmer of the copper color is stunning, but is see through, so the skirt is very sheer on the bottom half. I had a harder time styling it in a way I liked and felt good in than I thought I would, but ended up loving it with a chunky saddle brown leather belt. Also beware, the copper material catches on things very easily, so I had to be careful going downstairs, or standing up after sitting in it because it would catch on the heel of my shoe. I would absolutely rent this again though.

Love the shape!
I absolutely adore this sweater, the cropped length with the puffy shoulders make for a very flattering shape. The oversized leopard print in the unusual pink/orange combo makes it reminiscent of an animal print or something else organic, inspired by nature without the fierce in your face vibe some animal prints do and makes it super versatile. I ended up buying this one and wear it all the time!

Quintessential spring skiing look!
I rented this as an apre ski look for a vacation, it was definitely fun, but the color was a little more 8 year old girl who likes unicorns pastel purple than the more shimmery iridescent designer vibe I’d hoped for. It was a little tight across the chest and a little short in the sleeves, so I ended up buying it new direct from Unreal Fur in a different color and a size up for cheaper than it was being sold here.

Put together but casual
I love the combination of a ribbed material which gives it a nice fitted look and a thicker material that is a little forgiving. The shoulders don’t fit quite how I expected from the pictures on the models and others’ reviews, but I still like the look, it’s more draped to create volume than padded or reinforced like a more structural garment which is what I had expected. I ended up buying it and wear it all the time!

Difficult to walk and go to the bathroom in
I am glad I followed the recommendations and ordered a size up. The 6 fit well, but even then I had to step into it and pull it up, if I put it on over my head it couldn’t make it over my hips, which aren’t very wide. It looked great on and perfect for a beautiful spring day of wine tasting, but was a little difficult to walk in because it’s extremely narrow at the knees. For that same reason, be prepared to have to unbutton and unzip the dress and pull it all the way down to pee, like you would with a jumpsuit, something I usually try to avoid with clothing since I have a tiny bladder. I may rent again this spring or summer, but would look at other options first.

This is a super unique design, playful/fun, and an eye catching fit at the same time. I got tons of compliments the couple of times I’ve worn this so far. The only thing I don’t like is the price to buy it. I’ll probably hang onto it until the weather warms up so much it’s no longer practical.

Just the right amount of stretch. Stunning!
I loved this skirt and got so many compliments when I wore it out to dinner on vacation I ended up buying it. It’s a beautiful shape that I think would flatter most body types, looks like real leather, but has just enough stretch to ensure a great fit. I’m right on the cusp of a 4 and a 6 right now, based on reviews I opted for a 6, which was definitely the right call.

Size up for broad shoulders/chest
I have almost always had to size up in items from Dress The Population, but on this one based on the stretch of the fabric and other reviews I thought a S which is my typical size would work but ended up exchanging it for an M. I wore this out on Valentines and got tons of compliments. I almost bought it because of how confident and special I felt in it, but it is very heavy, thick, and the sleeves are a little short for someone 5’7”, so I decided I probably wouldn’t get much use out of it, but would absolutely rent again.

Perfect Fit Tons of Compliments
I have always had to size up on anything from Dress The Population and this was no different. I rented this dress for my engagement photos, it’s stunning and was a perfect fit. I got tons of compliments walking around town in it. The boning in the top gives it a nicely structured look and feel, which meant no need for the constant adjustment or pulling the dress up all night like it many strapless dresses. The only downside is that same level of structure given to the top would have been nice at the slit. The slit curled a little exposing the lining.

Way too short!
I sized up as suggested in many of the reviews. I’m typically a S or XS and rented a M. I’m also all for a cropped sweatshirt, and own several, but this one didn’t even cover my bra with my arms down by my sides. This is too short for me to be comfortable in at 5’7”, but clearly high quality with a nice thick fabric. Hopefully some more petite women out there can get better usage out of it.

Difficult to put on correctly
This dress looked great on! I enjoyed wearing it out to dinner and a show. There were a few minor things that bothered me, but overall I was very happy with this rental. The dress is already short, and rides up as you walk and move around, so I did have to pull the skirt down regularly. The neckline is tricky to figure out, it took me 2-3 tries to get it right each time I put it on. Lastly, the material is thick and a little scratchy, which it part of the reason it is so flattering on, but with my sensitive skin that material did rub my neck and shoulder where the strap is throughout the night and leave it very red. I don’t think any of these things would prevent me from renting it again if the right occasion arose.

Neckline not for broad shoulders/muscular chest & back
Unfortunately, this dress was unwearable with my body shape, which was disappointing given how thick and high quality the fabric feels. Other than the neckline, this dress fit true to size and looked great on. I do weightlifting and CrossFit, so have a very muscular upper body compared to many women. The way the ribbing stretched across my shoulders back and chest widened and lowered the sweetheart part of the neckline far enough that I couldn’t turn or twist at all without my nipples popping out. I tried several strapless and plunge bras with it, and it only made it worse. However, I think this would look terrific on someone with narrower shoulders and bigger breasts. Also just a note, the dress isn’t white like it looks in most of the pictures, it’s a natural beige color.

Easy to dress up or down
I absolutely adored the shape and fit of this dress. The fabric is a silk jacquard, but not a heavy or high sheen one that feels limited to evening or semi-formal affairs. It would be easy to dress up to that level, but also looked great styled more casually for some wine tasting and my engagement photo shoot. I couldn’t part with it and ended up buying it.

3/4 length sleeves?
I loved the print, high quality fabric, and heavy weight which would have been great for cold snowy weather, but the sleeves are VERY short. Pulled down as far as I could get them they still fell almost 6” short of my wrists. In my opinion 3/4 length sleeves on a super heavy puffer jacket is a weird and not super functional choice. However, I think if you are petite or styled it with the right long sleeve black shirt underneath to make that look more intentional this could be a great choice for you.

This jacket was so fun, I rented for my engagement photo shoot, and almost ended up buying it. It’s very high quality, looked like real fur, and kept me warm outside in the winter in a mini dress. I have broad shoulders, so sometimes I need to size up in jackets, but the small fit perfectly.

Very very very tight!
This dress is gorgeous, I loved the pattern, the shape, and the fabric has a nice sheen to it, but there is no way I could have worn this out of the house. It is so tight through the hips and legs that my knees were held tightly together, and I had to slowly waddle around because I couldn’t walk normally in it, and definitely couldn’t sit down. I personally couldn’t have sized up with my body shape because the top was about as big as I could go on a strapless dress without flashing someone. I think this would be a lot more practical dress for someone a little bigger busted with thin legs.

Super short - for petite ladies only!
I’m 5’7”, so not super tall but a little taller than average, yet the waist on this top fell almost 6” above my natural waist, and didn’t look or fit like it was meant to have an empire waist. It’s very cute, seemed well made, and fit exactly as expected across the chest and shoulders, so hopefully someone much shorter than me gets a chance to enjoy this one.

I am on the larger end of a size 4 at the moment, so very glad I rented a size 6 as a back up. The 6 fit very snuggly, but was still incredibly flattering. I am 5’7” and the dress had a short train even with 4” heels, so it might be a little hard to manage for anything other than a formal event for some of the shorter ladies out there or ones who are less comfortable in heels. The fabric is a heavy satin type of fabric, and got even heavier in an afternoon rain shower. It was perfect for a tropical “beachy chic” dress code for a friend’s wedding in Hawaii. I got tons of compliments!

Runs big, lacks structure, doesn’t stay up.
I rented this for a wedding but didn’t end up wearing it because I couldn’t find a way to keep it from rolling over on top and/or falling down below my boobs despite attempting to wear it with 3 different sticky/backless bras, and 2 variations on fashion tape placement. It’s a shame, because the print and sheen of the fabric are gorgeous and would have been great for a beachfront destination wedding. It’s just a poorly constructed dress for a strapless style with no structure or adjustability.
