Great summer dress

Comfortable & flattering
You definitely need a racerback bra for the way. The arms are cut on this, but it's very cute and I wore it on a casual Friday to work.

Adorable Cut
I hope Hunter Bell will make this top again in future collections, because the cut is so cute!! The embroidery is fun, although hearts aren't really my vibe. I did get lots of compliments on it, and I felt great in it!

The fit is great, but the lining kept getting stuck to the dress. Ironing it was a bit of a challenge, as the lining was very bunched up.

I originally intended to wear this in a much more spring-like fashion, but we had a cold snap that week. Luckily, these paired as well with a cashmere turtleneck as they did with the top I intended to wear with them.

Gaping between buttons, but cute
Someone before me had put a safety pin between the last two buttons, so I left it. Otherwise, the placket would have gaped open and shown my whole boob. Still a cute top though!

Cute, but wrinkly
I love the neutral check pattern of these pants, but the fabric did not stay pressed. As the day wore on, they looked sloppier and sloppier. I’d considered buying them because they were on sale for such a good price, but I just can’t deal with a fabric that wrinkles so easily.

I love everything about this dress, except the smocking in the bust. If you have a large bust, you’ll need to layer with other pieces. Still, it’s cute and rhe print is a nice transition to fall statement.

Cute, but…
The waist seemed to be in an odd place on me, as well as being very loose. I don’t think it’s meant to be a drop waist design, as the ruching would indicate otherwise. I made it work by pairing with a blazer. If it was a piece I owned, I would definitely be bringing it in to shorten the torso and tailor the waist a bit.

I have a larger bust and was concerned that this dress wouldn’t work, but the shape and tailoring are actually perfect! A major concern for me is always my bra showing in the armhole of a sleeveless dress (often, they are cut so large the entire side of my bra shows), but this dress is made perfectly.

Great for very small boned bodies
If you have boobs, skip this altogether. It’s cropped, it’s round, it’s tragic. Uniboob is the word that comes to mind.

So cute. So small.
If you have a large bust, sizing up will not help. I took the largest size possible because I know this brand runs small and I usually take a size 8. The waist was very snug and although I could button the front, it the gaping at the bust made it unwearable. Also the belt is attached in the back, and had it fit, I was planning on belting it with a suede belt and wearing it with boots. The belt buckle is covered in rattan, so it’s definitely a summer dress.

Cute, but size down
I love the crochet style of this jacket for a seasonal transition look (I’m in Louisiana where it’s still 90 degrees in late September), but the sleeves were a little big on me. I wore it draped over my shoulders instead, which I thought was cute (if not a little difficult to maintain all day). If you have skinny arms, I would consider sizing down.

A perfect set
In addition to wearing this as a set, I wore the skirt with an oversized cardigan (buttoned up) for a totally different look. Fair warning: The lace details have to be meticulously ironed out because of the dry cleaning, but if you’re patient, it’s totally worth it!

Not for the shortwaisted girlie
If you’re petite, opt for a version of this dress that does not have a dropped waist. I fussed with it all day because it kept riding up over my hips and bunching up around my natural waistline. Otherwise, it’s very cute, but made for a much taller, square(ish) frame.
