Tall girls beware
I got an 8L and it was too short. Crotch pulled and pants too short. Material is a thick velvet that looks really nice. Not sized for me, though!

Nicely made
I wanted to love this because it’s so nicely made and comfortable. I think it’s a harder piece to style, especially when you have big shoulders. Could size down, but it does feel like it’s intended to be oversized. I might get this in a smaller size and see if I can make it work.

Whose arms is this for?
I am tall and have long arms, and the arms were too long for me. The arm hole is twice as wide as my arm, as pictured. Makes me feel like a flying squirrel. The material does stretch because of the way it’s knit, but the thread itself is stiff. So it stretches and stops. It looked really good on other people so not sure what’s wrong here.

It’s sparkly
Other people have said this, but I’m adding a picture of the fabric so people have a sense of just how sparkly this is. The sparkle comes from tiny silver disks that are sewn onto the fabric. It may be a touch too flashy for work (although I’m fine being flashy). The fit is amazing and hugs in the right places. The seam around the waist is a nice touch to give the illusion of a more narrow waist. The sweater fabric is thick and good for cold weather.

Armpit pouching
This dress is super cute, but feels a little weird on. The top fabric is a thick sweater knit. Because of the thickness, it bunches at the arm pits when you have your arms at your sides. It seems to really want the arms to be out at a 60 degree angle to lie flat. The skirt is very thin and will not keep you near as warm as the top.

So soft!
I love this. It’s so soft and comfortable. It is cropped, so you have to wear with something high waisted if you want to cover your abdomen. My husband said I look like a swashbuckling sailor.

“A beautiful dress with a giant hole in the back”
Is how my husband described it. I would agree, it’s really nice, but I can’t wear this in New England and be warm. The open back also landed right where my bra is, so I would have had to ear pasties which I don’t feel like doing.

Cute but has issues
I really wanted to like this, but it is something that clearly needs to be ironed after every wash. Because of the many washes without ironing, the color is fading in the folded sections. The tie is also small, so I couldn’t get a full bow out of it. The tie is also sewed to the pants, so you can’t wear a different belt with it.

Good for curvy girls… which I am not
I liked this a lot, but my body shape isn’t exactly suited to it. The fabric is thick, which is nice to hide lines and keep you warm. It’s pretty low cut. While it looked ok on me, it would look much better on someone with lots of curves
