Wore this to a wedding at the end of October in Omaha, NE. Temps were in the 50s & high 40s and this coat was nice to be able to wear outdoors and indoors when I was a little chilly. It's not super thick and definitely wouldn't have been sufficient if it were any colder, but it worked nicely over a long sleeved dress. I found that this ran large, but my chest & shoulders are pretty petite. I got the XS as a backup size and I'm glad I did, as it fit me pretty perfectly! One other note: this coat DOES have pockets. The XS that I got had them sewn shut (the S did not), but I cut them open and sure enough, nice big pockets. Not sure why RTR is sending out coats with the pockets still shut, but don't be afraid to open them – nobody should have to wear a coat without pockets!
