the material is light and flowy, so even though it is a long gown, i did not feel overdressed. i should have sized down. since it was bigger the folded material at the top and waist would become unsettled-but not noticeable to anyone but me!

i thought this would be a yellow cotton dress, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it's actually a white slip with a sheer embroidered layer on top. it was a great quality, and it looked even better in person than in photos. i'm a little bigger on bottom than on top and the slip runs small, that's why i sized up to the medium. i'm also almost 5'9 and was surprised that the back of the dress was almost touching my ankles. its a lightweight material and was great for an outdoor event!
