I was complimented fairly consistently through the night. Random strangers came up to tell me how gorgeous this dress was. It had pockets, so I was pretty happy, and you couldn't even see that my cell phone was in my pocket in any of the pictures (or my lipstick, very useful!) This dress fit well, although the boning sticks out into the inside of the dress. I had a corset on underneath, which I recommend and band-aids. The bust is fairly tight, so I was very self-aware of back fat peeking out over the back for the whole night, so just be aware of that if you pick this. I was able to dance all night without ever stepping on my dress or having someone step on it.
