I wore this dress to a charity cocktail party (more business than party); it was both classic & chic. The color is more plum than eggplant but perfect for fall or winter. It is a great dress for a statement necklaces. Fit: It runs large. I went down a size. I was worried about the lace arms fitting in the smaller size but it wasn't too rigid or tight. It is a straight sheath dress so if you don't have curves, you may consider a belt to accentuate your waistline.

I wore it to a pre-holiday charity event/party. It fit me well. The length was great. I wore it with black accessories, shoes and was happy with the look. I have a wide torso and because of the seam under the bust line I was a little worried it would be too tight at that line but it was fine. The dress was a little worn (as a rental will be) but I promise, once you get the dress on you won't notice anything but the big smile on your face. I would recommend this dress to woman of all shapes and sizes. The color was fabulous for a holiday party!
