I wore this as the mother of the groom to a Roaring 20s themed wedding. I wanted to go elegant, rather than flapper style. Everyone thought it was beautiful. I usually wear a Sz 4, but ended up wearing the Sz 2 backup. The 4 looked large on the hanger, so I never tried it on. The Sz 2 fit great, with a little help from a stapless bra. Without a bra, the waist wouldn't sit in the right place, since I am flat chested -- I needed some lift there. Waist was comfy in this smaller size, I could move easily. I did not experience the itch from the material like other wearers, I found it perfectly comfortable. The sheer neckline is a little weird, but the necklace I rented with the dress completely covered it, making it look like just a low cut neckline. I probably would have to go back up to the Sz 4 if I gained any more weight, the Sz 2 fit like a glove. I am small, but not rail thin. I received compliments all evening, and felt appropriately dressed as the mom of the groom. It is an elegant dress.

This necklace is gorgeous. It is fully adjustable to almost any neck size, as you can attach clasp to any link along the non-jeweled portion of the necklace. Paired like it was made for the Marchessa Notte dress I also rented. It is large, but not gawdy or heavy. Perfect statement piece for my art deco themed attire.
