Runs small but worth it!
As the other reviews say, this runs small--an M is somewhere around a 6 I think--and you must pin down the hanger straps and your right arm will be somewhat immobilized. The zipper is a little tricky but really not that bad. The color is also a shade or two darker than in the photo. Overall, it's quite fabulous and worth it (and I NEVER do bodycon dresses!). There's enough length and coverage for a wedding, but not too long for 5'4", and the neckline provides just enough interest. Unfortunately, my dress arrived with a busted seam at the hip so it was noticeably puckered on one side, but I didn't have the skill to safety pin it or sew it back up, and RTR tried their best to help but there weren't any M sizes left. Would rent again!

Amazing dress, but beware the length!
This is an elegant, well-made dress. I think this was pretty true to size with a little extra room, so if you are between sizes (like I am), size down. The major setback for me on this dress was the length. At 5'4", it's just too long (covers knees completely, and then some) and wasn't flattering. The color is a very slightly muted cobalt, which is still fun, but not as bright as some other cobalt dresses out there. I would rent again, but a smaller size next time!

Not a showstopper, but fun; size up!
Currently, I'm between sizes 6 and 8, and an 8 fit well with a small amount of room, though the arms were tight (had trouble lifting them above my head, so people with enthusiastic dance moves, beware) and there is no stretch. It's not too short for 5'4"; the hem landed about 2" above my knee. The color was my dealbreaker--it's a muted cranberry, which isn't bad and helps tone down the flounce-y ruffles/length of the dress, but just didn't flatter me.

Unforgettable, but some DIY involved!
I read just about all of the reviews when I rented this, and preparedness was key here. True to the reviews, the sizing is odd--the 6R fit perfectly on top but made me look too hippy, so I went with my usual 8R, which flowed perfectly but I had about 2+ inches extra in the shoulders and back, and it did gape a bit in the front when I moved. So, plan on pinning as needed and lots of fashion tape. The length was fine with 4" heels (I'm 5'4")--there was maybe an inch or two extra that became a very small train, which looked great anyway. I felt unbelievable in this dress. If you're on the fence, GO FOR IT!

Perfect finishing touch!
To date, probably my most favorite accessory I've rented. This was just right for my dress, the Allison Parris Cobalt Marilyn Gown, and a great finishing touch to any statement dress. It's not too bulky and adds just the right amount of sparkle. Note that it is somewhat small--but I had no problem fitting this around my (average, maybe on the small side but not tiny) wrist, whereas most bracelets and bangles tend to be a bit big on me. I would buy this!

Great color, quality dress, but don't size down!
I wish I had rented this early enough to get a backup size, but unfortunately only a 6 was available. Some of the reviews say that you can size down, but this wasn't the case for me--way too tight across the hips--my regular 8 would have been much better. It is a really pretty dress, though. Understated, sophisticated, doesn't try too hard; a perfect dress to highlight you, not the dress itself.

Super fun and flattering, but depends on the tulle...
I've rented this dress before in navy--this is the teal version (NB check customer photos for how the color looks in real life) and is just as flattering. Size down for the best fit and fluff out the tulle before wearing for maximum impact. Loads of fun and get ready for the compliments! BUT: I ordered a size 8 as a backup and it looked like the original tulle (which is more of a nude color, and essential to the "fluff" effect at the bottom) had been replaced with a much less fluffy, off-white tulle, which made it an entirely different, unflattering, deflated dress. So, approach with caution. My size 6 had the original tulle intact, fortunately, so it was a successful rental. Keep the accessories minimal since the dress is really the statement piece here. Also--RTR customer service was particularly amazing this time around when my shipment was delayed--thank you!

So fun; will rent again!
Gained a couple of pounds so I was more like 138 lbs, 5'4" in this dress. Usually I rent size 8s with a backup 10, but after reading the reviews I went with a 6 for backup, which fit like a glove--I didn't even try on the 8. The hem hit me mid-thigh. I usually wear dresses at or just above the knee, but this length was actually really flattering for my height. Just don't bend over...and fluff out the tulle before wearing for maximum effect. I wore this to my boss' birthday party and just about everyone I talked to complimented the dress. So comfortable and flattering. I'd rent this one again!

Great, if well-loved piece
This is a lovely piece. It makes a statement while being minimalist enough to let the rest of your outfit (and you) shine. The "gold" is pretty worn on the edges, but if you're not looking too closely and you're at a dimly lit event, you'll be all set!

Comfortable and super cute!
LOVED this color. The dress is lined, so it makes a bit of a swishy noise, but it's not a big deal if you're at a loud party anyway. I wish the hem were a bit shorter; it hits very modestly at the knee for 5'4".

You really do feel like a million bucks!
So I was very skeptical, since this dress seemed to look best on small sizes (0, 2) and I'm in between a 6 and 8. 5'4", 135 lbs. The 46R fit me perfectly, including the length with 4" heels (no dragging or danger of tripping). I wore this for a black tie-optional work event and I felt very comfortable talking to colleagues, bosses, and bosses' bosses--the lace overlay camouflages any cleavage--yet I could truly enjoy how much the dress flattered my body and felt SO BEAUTIFUL. The ruching hides quite a bit and the fabric is nice and thick, so you can get away without Spanx. I was truly sad to take this off at the end of the night and stuff it into the return bag. Btw, it's actually pretty easy on/off; just step into and out of it. The only thing is that the sleeves tend to travel on your shoulders. The model wears the best look (like an off the shoulder type style) so...just avoid wild gesticulating. That's it! If you are on the fence, rent this dress and you will not be disappointed!!!

So sparkly, but not for sensitive ears
These are beautiful in person and VERY sparkly. They felt pretty light in my hands, but since I never wear earrings, they felt a little heavy once I had them on. I have extremely sensitive ears, so earrings are always a gamble for me, and these lasted about 3 hours before I had to take them off. Overall, if you don't have sensitive ears and need a lot of sparkle for your outfit, go for it!

Work-friendly, cute take on the LBD!
Wore this to my boss' holiday party. It was cute without being too flouncy, which sometimes happens with these fit-and-flare dresses, and the gold edging at the bottom is really nice in person--not cheap looking at all, and so much better as an asymmetrical trim. I've been renting from RTR for a while and this dress received the most compliments, hands down. The material also travels well; it arrived without a single wrinkle. The only downside: I'm 5'4" so it came to knee length on me, which can be a good thing for some work parties, but I did wish it had been two inches shorter. I also have a strangely short torso and not much of a waist, so the waist of the dress fell just a smidge too long on my body (cutting into my love handles, but not too noticeable because the dress is black, after all). Overall, this was SO flattering and hid all of my extra holiday pounds perfectly!

Great service and beautiful dress!
I scan reviews for fit, so here are my details: 5'4", now 132 lbs, 34C, usually between a 6 and 8. Wore 4" heels with the 6R and it was barely enough--the dress would have been the perfect length if it had been an inch shorter. BUT, this might be an overall fit problem, because it had a habit of sliding down despite the silicone-grip lining in the bodice and a very reliable strapless bra. On to the other bodice problem: it was very stretched out from previous ladies' (much more ample) busts and/or torsos--and I'm not skinny!--so instead of the wonderfully smooth curves in the photo, the dress was a bit bunched up here and there. This was my first dress rental experience, ever, so this might be a common rental problem, or even a fabric problem; I'm not sure. Other notes: I wore this to a black-tie wedding with the Lulu Frost Winged Pearl Collar necklace (also RTR) and got tons of compliments. My husband was an especially big fan. It was a daring dress for me, but the fabric was very flattering and I felt great in it! As to the overall RTR experience: renting is not for the faint of heart. But I am SO GLAD I did this and I will be using RTR for future events. Everything arrived safely and on time, and the return was easy (via UPS envelopes so you can just throw it in a dropbox).
