Very true to size. If in between sizes go with the larger one. I am between a 6and and 8 and the 6 was very snug. I like them so much I ordered an 8

It made me look like I had a big belly. The material balloons in that area it does not lay flat so it gives the impression of having a belly.

I am 5'6" and weigh 200 lbs. 36dd. I will wear the size 16 but the size 18 would also fit, just less snug. My regular size is 14w and 16/18 regular. The length is right above my knees, it has a slit by the ruffles that hits mid thigh and is not very visible unless you are sitting down. The material is thick enough to hide any flaws, and the side gathering serves to camouflage your tummy and give you an hourglass shape. You do not need to wear a bra wit this dress. If you need lift you will probably need a special strapless because the dress is,low under the armpits. I love that it is not revealing, but still very sexy and fun.
