Very cute and forgiving but short
Definitely size up. If I had to designate size numbers, I'd say the medium is a 4/6 and the large is a 6/8 (I don't know what the small is like). I'm about a small 6 mostly due to a mom-tummy. The medium fit fine, but because this dress has no stretch whatsoever I wore the large for some more room in the waist but also for a little more length. The sheer part of the skirt comes down plenty far, but the opaque part of the skirt stops much higher. The large came to about shorts length on me but the medium was right under my butt. I'm 5'5 for reference. The short skirt + no stretch meant when I sat in the medium, it became panties. Oh, and the neck and sleeves were scratchy, but not terribly so.

Great summer outfit!
Worn at 5 months pregnant so I went 1 size up. Fit great, and not super short like some rompers can be, but the length didn't look wrong proportionately either. The fabric is so thin it felt great and soft. I definitely want to own this one. But I stopped trying to keep the shoulders down and let it sit up where it wanted to. But that's really a problem with any off the shoulder outfit, they only stay like that as long as you don't move.

Who doesn't look stand out and fabulous in a cape?!
LOVE! I was nearly 5 months pregnant and this fit me in my pre-pregnancy size, so it certainly runs big and I may not have liked how it hung if I weren't so round. It probably would have felt a little boxy or shapeless if I weren't so shapely myself these days. And the shoulders fit a little odd because the cape pulls them back and that can make the bust darts sit in the wrong place-- but really, who cares. You rent this because you want to be the girl in the hot pink and orange cape and you're probably willing to pull things down for pictures all night. My two year old called me Superman. Definitely not for someone looking to blend in, but for the right event this is perfect. Also, I wouldn't recommend for a summer event outside, the fabric feels great but it drapes so beautifully because it's a bit heavy. I think it makes the dress more cocktail/formal, but it doesn't breathe very well.

Perfect for baby bumps and felt like pajamas...in a good way!
First, I was nearly 5 months pregnant when I wore this so guessing at what might fit was nerve wracking. But this was perfect! The waist band is high, so whether it be pregnant belly or otherwise, it will hug where you're smallest and give PLENTY of room everywhere else. In fact, if you're on the small or short side, I'd go down a size for the alternate. I wear a 4 pre-pregnancy and still wore a 4 in this when I'm certainly at least a 6 in everything else. The fabric is so soft, like a really smooth high quality cotton feels. I wore it in Orlando in August and didn't overheat. Also, pockets you can actually use. The top does taking some getting used to, I tied and re-tied it a few times to get it right. But the good news is that there's plenty of fabric to cover as much or as little as you want. I went bra-less and am currently up to a 34D and they were contained, I won't say they sat as high as I'd like, but it wasn't worth trying to hide a bra under there.

These are super cute and I wore them to the office and to a formal event and they worked equally well. But, they are kind of difficult to put on and they tend to slide off your ear at the top. I kept checking them throughout to make sure they hadn't turned into dangling flowers.

Classic, but stands out
Love! So many compliments throughout the night. And, for what it is, reasonably comfortable. I usually wear a 4 and this dress ran true to size. Although I'm sure a range of sizes would have fit. The only area you have to fit is the bodice so if you're bustier than your size usually allows for, maybe go up one. This has a built in inner bodice with boning which basically does all the work of holding this fairly heavy dress up. The boning did leave a red mark by the end of the night, but I didn't expect to be yoga pants comfortable. Because of the inner bodice the dress people see doesn't look like it's really tight but just magically stays up. Pockets you can actually use! The skirt of the dress is full enough, and the fabric heavy enough, that you can put your lipsticks or some cards and cash in there without harming the way the skirt hangs (not always the case with dress pockets). I still carried a purse for my phone. As others have said, this dress runs longer than many. I usually can wear a 4 regular unaltered with a 4 inch heel, and I did that here but the dress still had just the tiniest bit that dragged the floor more than I preferred - just enough to cause a break at the front. The material is very nice, heavy and a bit like drapery but in a good way. No shine in person but in photographs it looks like it is. Photographs very well and stands out without going for bright colors. Pretty, good quality, but bad fit
I understand wide metal cuffs aren't usually the most comfortable, but this was ridiculously uncomfortable. It's on a spring hinge and actually stayed closed just fine, that wasn't the problem. The problem was, as you can see in the pictures, it didn't come together correctly. I don't know if it was misshapen at some point during a rental, but it didn't seem like that could happen because this thing does not bend at all. It's a very nice, solid metal and is very shiny - 5 stars for that. But some of the "branches" were angled straight into my wrist leaving dents immediately (and I have small wrists) and no matter how I turned it or pushed it up or down my arm, there was no getting around them. Someone with a larger wrist would have an even worse time I imagine. 1 star for the fit.

Statement earrings
I didn't end up wearing these to my event, but they work if you're looking for statement, costume jewelry. They're a little heavy, and in my opinion a little clunky. I could hear them move when I walked. The blue is a deep, dusty. smoky blue-- not navy and not cobalt.

It works
I didn't end up using this purse because I went with a different look. But its a nice shiny clutch. The size is better than most and should fit all the the largest phones and as much lipstick as you'd need. I would note that only the clasp area is crystal covered. The body is silver but not crystal.

I liked everything about this purse, except my general dissatisfaction with the clutch industry for not keeping up with the size of phones. This one is almost big enough to fit a Samsung Galaxy 6, but it isn't. An older model iPhone, like a 4, would probably just fit but you couldn't get much else in there. Cards and lipstick fit fine though. I liked the amount of sparkle on this, enough to stand out but not steal the show. Paired with the HOUSE OF HARLOW 1960 Glimmering Night Oasis Earrings and BADGLEY MISCHKA Kelly Green Gown. I'd rent again.

Pretty, with a little edge
I wore these with the BADGLEY MISCHKA Kelly Green Gown. I wanted gunmetal accessories and there weren't many options. I like these, but you should know they're one solid piece and don't swing or dangle at all. They also don't have much if any sparkle despite the stones set in the tip. I only like these if you're wearing your hair down and don't want too much. I think they would look oddly stiff if you wore your hair up and had these completely exposed.

Attention Getter!
Don't rent this unless you're comfortable being noticed! When everyone is wearing black or other neutrals, this is a stand out! It was perfect for a late January formal event. The sleeves and open back make this warm enough for the walk from the car to be bearable but not too hot to wear indoors. My dimensions are above and the regular length was long enough to wear 4 inch heels and have the dress just graze the floor in front and have a tiny drag in back. Perfect length to me. A regular bra would have worked, but you'd have to be vigilant about the straps creeping out. Maybe if the shoulders fit you tighter than they did me it wouldn't be a problem, but the shoulders wanted to drop off my shoulders (didn't actually, but could have, my shoulders are narrow) and that allowed the straps to show on me. So I had to switch to a long-line, low back bra at the last minute, and that meant the base of the bra around my waist showed a bit. Spanx are def a must for anyone w any body fat. But once you're smoothed out, this would flatter a wide range of body types because it hugs existing curves and creates them where they're lacking. Easy to wear, but a standout dress without being "too much"
You can't tell from the models picture, but this dress has a very fitted, straight skirt with NO stretch under the tulle. If you're hippy, go up a size. I'm normally a perfect-to-small size 4 and I wore the 4 in this. The 2 fit, but since the fabric through the skirt and waist has no stretch, and I knew I'd be sitting through the wedding, I went up to the 4. The 2 looked good standing up though! Even in the 4, I had to do some wiggling to sit in the car. The gold lace is gorgeous, but because it's very much an antique gold color, gold jewelry doesn't work. I didn't think about this ahead of time or I would have gone with black jewelry instead. You really don't need much though-- certainly no necklace needed. Also, the gold embroidery around the neck is metallic, so I wouldn't say this dress would work for a daytime event. But for evening- gorgeous! I wore a strapless bra and it just peeked the slightest bit above the lace. I could see it (from my vantage point) but no one else could. You'll definitely need as low cut a strapless as you can find.

Be prepared for attention- in a good way!
Received so many compliments on this dress! I wore it to an early Spring formal event attended by a 20-30 something crowd so I knew this would be perfect. The dress is a thick material, but the high-low hem ensures lots of air circulation. My waist isn't terribly small compared to my bust (I'm not curvy), and so this top was a little big in the bust but fit just right at the waist in my normal size 4. I"m a small C (I think, 1 year post pregnancy I don't know what I am anymore). They didn't have a size 2 available but I think a 2 might have been a more flattering fit at the bust and in the total length-- even though the waist might have been snug if so. If you're looking for a dress that will make you look slim, this isn't it. I wasn't really worried about that but this dress can make you look a bit hippy. The skirt starts at your natural waist and is pretty full, so maybe just stand a little sideways in pictures. Regarding the length: I"m (nearly) 5'5" and wore 4 inch heels and there was still a little "train" behind me. I would have preferred it to fit like on the model in the picture (who wouldn't?) both so it wouldn't drag and so the "high" of the high-low hem would've been a bit higher. On girls of average height, the front only comes up to about mid-shin which starts to just look like a shoe window. MAKE SURE YOU FIND CUTE SHOES! This dress definitely puts your shoes on display, so don't overlook that part of your outfit.

I wish I owned this!!!
I rented this to go with the Marchesa Voyage Taste the Rainbow Sheath to bring out the pink-y accents and add a pop of color to a mostly black dress. It was perfect! Mine did have a very small blue ink mark on the inside, but I didn't care. The leather feels great and the inside lining is very soft too (extra bummer about the ink). It was large enough to put anything I wanted inside and also very easy to carry because it was soft and I could just throw it under my arm when i needed to hold anything else. Seriously, if RTR decides to retire this bag and sells it cheap, I'd buy it. Meant to get a picture with it but forgot.

Great, low-key cocktail dress
Overall, I liked this dress. I loved the top bodice part, and the bottom skirt part was ok. The colorful top looked great in person but only showed up in photographs with a flash or in really bright light. The skirt however was just "blah" to me. It's very thin, stretchy material that hugs your body. That part was ok, but it was just such a departure from the structured, almost thick fabric of the top, it felt weird and maybe a little cheap in comparison. Also, there's a weird notched part in he front of the skirt. nothing wrong with it, just a little odd. As for fit, I went with my normal size (4) and sized up for the alternate. I could have worn either one but went with the smaller one on principle if nothing else :) The skirt was a little less tight on the larger size but I couldn't really tell. Maybe if you wanted a bit longer skirt, going a size up would help. I'm 5'5 so it wasn't too short on me. The waist does nip in a bit, so if you're wide at the waist you may want to size up.
