Chicago Bears Gala
I got a last minute invitation to an event with my favorite football team and needed to look and feel good - and I needed options. RTR to the rescue. This dress was well lined and despite being more body con, it was smoothing and supportive (and adjustable!). I’m only 5’5” and this barely touched the floor and I didn’t love that it felt short but I made it work with a lower heel.

I work in a more conservative office (but I love to dress up) and this Ted Baker sweater was great for a particularly hot day. My only complaint was that it was large. I was going to pin in the back but that didn’t look right so I left as is for a baggier look. I could have probably gone down a size. It was such a high quality piece though!

A lot of dress
I love and have purchased Alexis dresses from RtR and this one is great but I’m not going to buy it. The tie neck and waist made it feel conservative which was fine for my casual office but if I hadn’t tied it, it just kind of hung like a sack. It was pretty though!

Tomato red for a pop of color
I wore this to work for something different this spring and I loved how it made me feel bright and cheery. Be advised that this is a lower cut dress so I added a silk scarf to keep it classy at the office. It's heavy enough too in the material where you don't need a slip. It might make a good vacation dress but depending on your suitcase, it would take up a lot of room for travel.

Loved the jacket, would have styled differently
One thing I love about being an RtR member is that sometimes it’s just grab and go. This week especially for me has been very busy so I needed classic tailored styles I could count on. If I had more time I might have styled with a tailored jean or black pant but I was in a rush. Veronica Beard will always make me look put together even when I’m not feeling that way!

VB is always a win!
You can’t go wrong with Veronica Beard. I had so many options to style this with jeans, a mini, a red satin skirt and ultimately went with classic black pants and turtleneck. The weight is great for a chilly office in the transitional fashion season. I sized down and it was perfect.

Between sizes but still fit weird
I used a safety pin to clasp this in the back since a belt felt out of place. With that said it was so tricky to get on so I think sizing down would have been a disappointment. I wore this to work and made it work anyways and it’s nice for the office and happy hour after. It’s not too conservative but also just the right amount of modesty for the office. This is a winter only dress so I wore it with nude nylons and heels.

Red lace is always going to have a certain vibe so I wore this to a Valentine’s event with girlfriends. I paired with a black mini skirt, knee high boots, tights and a red bra. I tried both red and black but the red bra made the look clean for me. Be advised: the red lace turtleneck is a button up and it’s tricky with longer nails!

Groovy Valentine’s Sweater
I got this sweater to wear during Valentine’s Day week at work. It’s a little bit of a more snug fit so I wore it with a baggy pair of jeans. I got lots of compliments on how fun the sweater was. The pink is more of a lavender color and the red is more of a rusty brick red in case you’re trying to match with something you have on hand.

Not the best for curves
I have a booty. Size 28 is my normal size and these didn’t work out. Loved the wash and retro pattern. Also I’m 5’ 5” and these were a little long for me. Cute in theory - I might try the 29 because i do think these look so fun but sadly this size didn’t work.

The ribbed body is forgiving
I loved the ribbed fit of this dress because it helps hug in the right way. It was longer than I expected but I liked that to go along with Chicago’s winter. I was able to stay warm with the dress and a leather jacket. The dress is such a dark color that you can totally pull off a black + brown look.

Denim and leather done right
This shacket was everything - I loved how it had the vegan leather and a denim texture for a mixed media look. I paired it with a pair of denim / vegan leather pants for a sort of Canadian tuxedo look. If I had kept it longer I might have tried it with a mini skirt and tights. It fits larger than your normal size so I’d recommend sizing down!

Despite freezing temps, this was a stunner
I rented this with complete disregard of the forecast so I had to winterize it a bit. Note: it’s pretty sheer throughout so tights helped and so did some shape wear as it is a body con dress. I paired it with some chunky platform Mary Jane’s and a cute purse. Wore this for GNO. The 4-star rating is because the sparkly crew neck was itchy and the sparkle down the side didn’t line up with the seam so it felt like it was off/misaligned the whole time I wore it. Made me feel pretty though!

I should have looked more closely when I excitedly added to cart. This is a screen printed sweatshirt, NOT a sweater. This surprised me because of the brand and typical quality from RL. It’s not a bad hoodie, though. The sweatshirt material is thick and comfy but I wish it was a sweater!

A great fall dress but nothing notable
I liked this dress online but when I got it, I felt like it overwhelmed my figure. I added a vintage silk scarf to the outfit to jazz it up a bit but still didn’t love it like I’ve loved other rentals. It’s very modest and would be great for holiday photos or an office setting.

I’ve rented a lot of Tanya Taylor’s designs this past year and what I love is the consistent fit for my shape and size. I trust the quality and design so I know what I’m getting myself into when I rent TT. The slit is not too high and work appropriate and the fit hugs curves appropriately enough for work and fun enough for a date night. I paired this with a knee high suede taupe boot and I thought I looked nice! I did have a navy chunky knit sweater I paired it with for a monochrome look) - my office is cold - and was overall satisfied with the outfit.

Great for Cabo!
I got this for the fall in Cabo - cooler nights meant I'd need something a little heavier than what I'd wear in the summertime. This dress has pockets and the embroidery is darling. I paired it with gold mesh flats and got to dance with the dinner dancers and my family. I never felt hot or cold - it's great for 72-degrees in the moonlight. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the pockets sat right at my hips (I'm 5'5" with a pear shape). It made me look wider than I'd like!

Work conference appropriate
I wore this for a day-long work conference and it was warm enough and heavy for those cold conference spaces. I still added a sweater but found this to be quite comfortable. The BOSS brand is also a plus and I felt chic and put together. The only drawback was where the pockets sat on my hips and made me appear a little wider than I am.

Witchy vibes for date night
This dress sat a little high on my shoulders, which is why I'm giving it a 4 - the fit was a little awkward for me as a shorter person (I'm 5'5") but I LOVED this dress as a base layer for a date night outfit. I paired this with a basic black women's tuxedo jacket and a cool, metal chain belt to tie it together. Added some block heels and I felt like this dress was a chic bass layer with the lace skirt bottom. Overall the fit was a little "off" as I mentioned but the pieces made it all work.

Trying the Cowgirl / Western Trend for Everyday Style
This dress is so on-trend for fall transitional outfits, but one I've hesitated going all-in for. Thankfully, that's why I have Rent the Runway. The cow hide look was very chic and I wore it with a silver belt with turquoise stones and high brown leather boots. I also added a long cream sweater in the office. The dress is a little sheer even though it's lined, so I added a slip underneath. This was a little more of a body-hugging dress but it hit in all the right places and wasn't too tight.

I so wanted to love this but I could not wear it out of the house. Despite what the picture suggests, I do not have a hump on my back. A wine red moment
This color is all the rage this season so I had to try this dress for myself. I wish I hadn't had the busiest workday because I don't have any pictures of this one! The low cut was actually not as low as I perceived it to be from other reviews. I paired with strappy kitten heels in the same color. This did hang long for me as a shorter woman, so prepare to hike it up if you take the stairs!

Perfection in Iceland
I wore this on a brief weekend trip to Reykjavik and it kept me so nice and warm while I went to the Sky Lagoon. It is rather thick and I was wearing with a puffer jacket so it was a tough uncomfortable and bulky, but that was kind of the point for me. If I were back home, I'd have worn a different coat with looser sleeves. Note: the fur on this sweater gets stuck in the zipper so you have to be patient when zipping it.
