Minimalist, a bit retro, and something Keira Knightly would totally wear in a period piece
This isn't the kind of skirt I'd normally gravitate towards, but it's ridiculously flattering. The material is warm but soft and there's enough nylon so you don't feel like you're boiling, and there's nice movement. I felt like it was a modern take on a 1940s-era skirt—practical, comfortable, but fresh.

Not a stunner
This wasn't the most horrible dress, but it wasn't good, either. The stripes and cut made me look a lot hippier than I am, and the top offered zero support. Nice try, but a miss.

This dress has an identity crisis
I really, really wanted this dress to work for my friend's wedding. It looks a bit flowy and romantic, but the main part of the dress is very constricting, which is self-defeating when those panels hide the silhouette. So you're stuck in an uncomfortable dress with the illusion of being in a kaftan. Not cool. The neckline was super unflattering on me, too. It looked a bit like a towel. Beautiful colors, but that's about all it had going for it.

Heavy doesn't even begin to describe these hoops
If you like statement earnings, marvelous! These are not them, unless the statement you want to make is "I don't like my earlobes and am actively trying to rid myself of them!" I rented them for a wedding, but am sending the earrings back — the fact that they're clip-on would mean a night of nervously checking to see if my dance moves catapulted these round weapons at my friend's Uncle Larry. I couldn't do that, not even to Uncle Larry.

Beautiful fabric, but weird construction
The print on this dress is stunning. But the fit? Leaves everything to be desired. For what I had hoped would be a breezy summer maxi, the top was surprisingly Medieval, and completely squashed my 34B gals. The straps were oddly constructed, and looked like they should just be normal straps, but weirdly slipped down at every turn. Also, at 5'9" and in flats, it was the perfect length. I would guess that anyone shorter would need to wear heels with this.

Summer sleeves, scintillating style
I've been on the eternal hunt for sleeved summer dresses, because my office is an icebox. In addition to the long sleeves the dress has a lot of capital F Fashun détails to keep it interesting, including but not limited to the woven skirt.

The perfect skirt for work and play
I am, at my core, a lazy person that still likes to/has to look nice. But so many dresses and skirts aren't comfortable for a 12+ hour day. Not this skirt. It has a cleverly-hidden elastic waistband that asks for your shirt to be fashionably tucked in. Add a red (or pink!) lip and a funky heel, and you've got the perfect work look. And it's so easy to dress down with a pair of trainers or sandals.

Dorothy, but make it fashion
I had high hopes for this dress -- it looks SO CUTE on the model. But for anyone who's pear-shaped, this dress, with its stealthy drop-waist, is NOT flattering. The bow makes it worse. I wanted to love this dress, but I just can't.

An everyday skirt with a twist
The perfect skirt for wearing to work in the winter. It's warm, and the elastic waist and pleats mean any over-indulging done during the holidays are forgiven.

The skirt was much thinner than I expected, and the silvery side panel wasn't constructed well. Overall, it felt like it wanted to be a cool skirt, but simply fell flat.

A glitzy take on a workday staple
I wore this to work the day after New Year's as a way to brighten my spirit. The skirt was surprisingly comfortable, and a slit in the back meant I wasn't walking like Joan Holloway all day. The best part? It brightened everyone else's day, too!

A gown fit for Daisy Buchanan! This fabulous frock was perfect for my friend's Gatsby-themed wedding
The dress fit like a glove - there's plenty of boning and structure in the bodice, and the gown's many sequins were in surprisingly good shape. It moved beautifully and was the bee's knees at my friend's nuptials. Per RTR's suggestion, I sized down to get a better fit in the bust area (great tip, ya'll!). My one complaint - RTR also encouraged those 5'7" to 5'10" to get the long. But at 5'10" in flats, the long was dragging on the ground with about 4" of extra fabric. Otherwise, a fabulous dress for weddings! (I also paired the look with the Nicole Miller pearl drop earrings for a modern take on Gatsby.)
