I went with XL because of my belly to have enough length to cover which worked. The material is beautiful, sleeve length are just right. Recommend to put a pin for top gap if you are big chested, love this piece, would rent again.

Loved this dress, it covered my stomach comfortably (normally wear size L, wore XXL). Still wore medium strength spandex, it helped. One caution the length of the sleeves less fabric front to back is a bit longer, recommend folding the extra length and pinning it. Or place a temporary stitch. Would rent again!

Just reading the reviews w/ women similar size helped me very quickly to order this dress. Material is very light, definitely wear a nice nude color slip skirt. I was very happy the straps were adjustable to have more flexibility with the look in the chest area (not too tight either at under arms area). One little note: if you are a C cup or bigger, recommend safety pin to close the gaps between one of the buttons. Love it & will rent again!

First of all the photos of this dress does not do it justice. The baby blue/black/white pattern had a shimmer which gave it that elegance needed for a black tie. I normally wear a 12, it was true to fit but a little snug underneath the chest. It was hard to find the right strapless bra or use a regular bra because of the design in front and back of the dress. Took a risk and i went bra-less, I'm 38C and I felt comfortable in it - word of caution DO NOT JUMP TOO MUCH WHEN DANCING ;) Nothing happened but you can imagine! Loved the pockets, made me feel a little relaxed. The only size was 12 Long & I'm 5'5" so I paired it with a black open toed 3" high heels, it went well, still had to pick up the dress a bit when going up or down the stairs but you can still dance comfortably. I went with silver black and blue pattern for accessories from long earrings, necklace, bold silver ring, silver watch and blue clutch. Went for a beach wave hair and loved the look. Would rent again :)

This was my primary dress for a formal event, it was beautiful, fun and hid my stomach if you have that as a problem area, felt sexy but I have chosen my back-up dress from rent the runway which i loved because the black dress's slip was so short, and definitely could not bend down without showing your behind, unless you want to ;) My recommendation, have a black slip with lace at the bottom to wear underneath. Other than that, planning to rent it next time and have the longer slip!

I have to begin with saying that i have loved this dress :) I'm still between sizes of 12 and 10 but the coverage for your tummy, back handles are perfect, no spandex needed, my favorite part the bows that brought elegance to the dress but the surprise was how soft and elegant it was in the back "big surprise" as I turned around and people said WOW! I have chosen to wear camel colored high heels closed toe, rose gold eye drop diamond earrings and infinity ring, white rose gold watch with blurb coral colored cluster necklace. One con, very minor & can be fixed, the sleeves were falling off as I danced the night away, recommend pins to attach to your bra, like I said easy fix. I would rent it again, highly recommended :).

Seeing the reviews with women in my size, height and weight raving about this dress and key word was comfort sold me on the dress. Boy they were all right!!! I loved this dress and how I felt sexy and again emphasizing comfort. The lining is soft and fit was perfect, no tummy tuck necessary (normally my trouble area). One little thing, the zipper is hard to pull up half way, just make sure to have someone help you or just have some patience :) definitely would rent again

Third wedding & 3rd RTR rental = loving it!!! This Black Dress was not your typical simple black dress. The outer shell was a lace in flowers with an exposed shoulders (fits today's trend) and laced sleeves which allowed for arm coverage and not getting too hot while dancing the night away. Lingerie: definitely strapless black bra but would recommend with thin straps if you are 36C and above for support. If you have issues with your tummy - the under layer can definitely cover your tummy spandex panty style. Jewelry: wore RTR bracelet I bought black stones with gold, chandelier black and gold earrings. Shoes: cobble blue BCBG closed toed bumps. Definitely rich matte res lipstick is a must :) Best rental by far!!!

Losing weight made it even more possible to have more options from RTR :) even though size 12 fit but it was a bit tight - always thinking comfort when it comes to dresses and this size 14 dress was perfect and the best part $30 only!!! Regular nude color bra and recommend silk undies for smooth lines but the under layer was cotton and felt great and soft. The lace is a bit harsh on the arms but tolerable. Wore camel colored closed toed heels with big square diamond earrings, gold leaf thin bracelet . Can't wait until my next wedding in October!!

Pros: rented 14 & back up 12, losing weight so I'm in between. Still wore 14 and it fit perfectly. It was a beautiful pattern with the light purple, green and cream leaves. The lining was soft to the body, loved the length as it gives me a nicer shape. Wore regular bra, still working on my tummy so wore a lite maiden form tummy smoother, felt still great with the dress. Since it was a Sunday wedding, kept accessory to a minimum- no earrings, wore a 3 flower gold necklace and camel colored peep toe high heels. Cons: the sleeves kept falling off. Used Bobby pins between my bra strap and he dress and it worked. Other than that, it was perfect! I even ran into a guest that recognized it was RTR dress and she was wearing one :)

Long gowns was recommend for this fancy barn wedding and this dress was perfect! Even though I'm 38 C size the dress had a bustier/corset embedded in the frame of the dress to hold you up. Received many compliments but before the party started, one of the corset support broke in half, understandably since this was a popular dress to rent, it was a wear and tear. Rent the runaway came through for me when I called them and provided me full credit. The wedding coordinator managed to get me a sewing kit and we managed to fixed the best we can. I had fun no matter what as this dress was fun and comfortable. Watch for staging the dress if you are shorter than 5'5" :)

I'm a size 12 and I ordered the 12. The fit was true to size. It felt a bit snug at mid section but if you wear spandex, you will be more than comfortable! Most definitely wear strapless bra, trust me I'm size 38c and the bra didn't move or fall down, the dress held it in place. Recommend not too long of a chandelier earrings to avoid getting caught by the lace. Closed toe pumps with a pop color was definitely the way to go to enhance the beauty of the dress. For hair, I was inspired by the model in the renttherunway picture. I was very impressed with the overall fit from neck to knee and I received so many compliments especially with the side lace which was perfect for dancing movements :) Most definitely will rent again from rent the runway.
