I finally was able to wear this top with a pair of black slacks. Initially I thought this was going to look great, the fit was true to size. However it was very frumpy looking and it was difficult for me to wear a jacket or sweater over it due to the bell sleeves.

The color of the pink plaid is way more prominent in person than it is in the photo. It looks like bubblegum pink. Definitely wasn't the style I was going for. I didn't wear this jacket and will be returning straight away.

The fit for this dress is average. The fabric is nice and the print is OK. I feel this style gives an older look which probably isn't something I'm going for. The button details on the left shoulder makes it look cheap, sadly. The shoulder seems a tad narrow but the overall dress is TTS. I will wear this probably once before sending it back.

I love the fabric and the print, however the sizing is really different. A size small is much smaller. If you see my picture, you can note that the shoulder is the way too narrow. It's better to get a sense of designer brand sizing. I guess Derek Lam closing runs much smaller than your typical European brand.
