2nd Trimester Only!
So, lots of other reviews mentioned that these shorts are better for second trimester, and I ignored them. I figured "well, my bump isn't THAT big" and the vacation I chose these for was the very beginning of my first week in my third trimester. Turns out I am not actually as smart as I think I am. The shorts *fit,* and I could get them buttoned, but they weren't super *comfortable.* After the first couple hours, I just left the top button undone and pulled my shirt down over the fly. It's not an issue of size - the 27 fit perfectly around my hips, but the stretchy panels built into the sides are just not big enough / stretchy enough to accommodate a third trimester bump. (Wore these at 28 weeks, somewhere around 131 - 135 lbs.)

Best maternity piece I've found yet
This is so far my favorite maternity piece I've found anywhere. If it was any other color, I'd probably buy it (the color is admittedly not great on pale white girls). It fit easily, was super comfortable, and looked really cute. (And I'm hard to fit!) Word of caution - you will absolutely need bra + underwear that matches your skin tone, it is pretty see through otherwise. I got this for a tropical vacation, but if I was going to be pregnant in the summer, I'd wear this over and over again. Currently 28 weeks / around 135 lbs, but this feels like it'd fit for many more weeks, and would work for early pregnancy too.

Works for maternity
I got a medium based on RTR's recommended sizing (and small wasn't available anyway). But a small would've definitely been the better size. I'm short so it's much longer on me than the picture, and while the overall length wasn't a problem, the straps were waaaay too long on me and not adjustable. I only wore it as a swimsuit cover up, since when I tried it on over a regular bra, you could see all of my bra in the back and most of it on the sides. It was super comfy though in hot and humid weather, and still pretty flattering. On the plus side - I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant with a very obvious bump, and this worked great as a maternity piece without feeling like the fabric was stretched too far or I was stuffed in. Was 119lbs / 32D pre-pregnancy, now around 134 lbs and 34DD/E.

Good but not great
It fit and looked okay. There was some weird bunching at the sides, like the cut of the bump and butt portions were off, but it wasn't obviously too small or too large - just kind of...fit weird? Fortunately, with the busy pattern it wasn't too noticeable. I'm 5'1" so it was quite long on me, a little bit longer than midi. The fabric doesn't breathe at all which was sort of a bummer on a tropical babymoon. Currently 28 weeks and approx 134 lbs.

Better for tall people
Did not end up wearing this at all, tried it on and it was an instant "no". It was huge and looked like a bag on me. The top was too big - gaping at the sides - and the bottom was just SO MUCH FABRIC it completely overwhelmed me. Maybe an XS would've fit, but I doubt it - this style is just not flattering on anyone petite. I'm 119 lbs / 32D pre-pregnancy, currently 28 weeks and about 134 lbs / 34DD/E.

Simultaneously too small and too large
Compared to all the other maternity dresses out there, this dress is not a muumuu, so 4 stars for that alone. However, it’s somewhat weirdly sized and designed - there is no extra fabric around the bump, the entire dress is just really stretchy. I am honestly shocked that this is marketed as a maternity dress rather than a non-maternity dress that is bump-friendly. Definitely better for tall to average height ladies - I’m short and the S was REALLY long on me, with the ruffle below my knees. The XS was just unreasonably tight. Even the S was awfully tight through the waist, hips, and thighs, while being slightly too loose on my shoulders (though that’s fairly normal for my proportions). Bottom line: this was better than the other options at the time, but I probably wouldn’t pick it again. Pre-pregnancy: 119lbs and 32D Wore this at 24 weeks, about 130lbs, no idea what bra size I am but they feel huge

Annual gala with a "Shine" theme! The sparkly dress was perfect.
Great dress, it looked amazing and I got tons of compliments. Between the S and the M, the M definitely fit better. It was very stretchy, which I appreciated since I'm pretty curvy in the hips region relative to my height. The top was a little bit loose in the back, and the Small fit better there, but that's probably more because my frame isn't proportional rather than the dress.

Overall, I loved this dress and got many compliments.
I was surprised at how well the small fit - it was almost perfect except it gapped a bit at the top in the back. I really could have worn either the XS or the S. The XS was significantly harder to zip up, but comfortable enough once on. The only downside is that even the XS is designed for a person with a longer torso than I have (5'1"). It was VERY low cut on me. My bra kept poking out above the neckline and it took liberal amounts of fashion tape to keep it in place.
