Adorable 40s vibe
I love love love this dress -- if only it weren't so short! On me (5'8") it's really only appropriate for vacation. Still, if you're willing to show off the gams, this is totally adorable and a compliment magnet. I've rented it twice even though it's not super appropriate, so.

Risky but worth it
All the other reviews are right -- you definitely run the risk of exposure in this one. But for me, the swirly glamorous weight and dress-up-or-down versatility made it worthwhile. Wore it with a bandeau to a fancy seaside party and felt like I was living my best life.

I swanned into every room like a first wife who took everything in this coat. It's absolutely old school glamour -- wish I had a photo that captured it. The collar is just high enough to nestle into like a jaded starlet. It even kept me warm in the DC winter, which I didn't expect. Will rent again.

Beautiful and delicate
These are gorgeous, unexpectedly delicate earrings. I wore them with a pretty dramatic jumpsuit, and I think they would have worked better with something more understated. But they still gave a lovely, dreamy, dryad-y touch to my outfit. Would definitely rent again.

Cute but risky
I know Yumi Kim runs small, but I loved this dress so much that I snatched it up as part of my Unlimited shipment even though there was only an S available. And, standing, it was actually almost perfect? Fitted and crisp -- just skimmed my 27-28" waist and 37"-ish hips. Sitting, though, was a problem. The buttons are so awkwardly placed that they gaped right over my upper thighs and almost showed my underpants (cute undies, but not work appropriate!). The slits are also suuuper high. Had to drape a cardigan casually over my lap. However, I think I might not have had any of these problems if I'd ordered in the right size -- or at least the gapping & slit height would have been fixable with fashion tape/safety pins. Overall I loved the look, and at least it made me use my standing desk? I'd order it again when the M is available.

Fave RTR to date
I had such a hard time not buying this piece--it's insanely fun, flattering and versatile. Wish I had a better photo, but you'll just have to trust me. My coworkers loved it at the office (with a pencil skirt) and my friends loved it at the bar (with high waisted shorts). Breezy and perfect for summer. The sleeves are dropped pretty deep, FYI, so an undershirt or a bra you don't mind having on display isn't a bad idea.

Fun and flattering
I looooved this piece. A romper long enough for my 5'8 body that it doesn't feel like a swimsuit is already something to celebrate, but one that's long enough and super flattering to my smallish waist/ larger hips? Unheard of. This cute little number was a compliment magnet. Honestly the translucency wasn't a problem for me -- because of the other reviews and the way it looks on the hanger, I kept checking with friends to see if they could see my (flesh-colored) underwear, but they couldn't.

Gorgeous, vibrant, light
Such a beautiful dress. The colors are more vibrant in person than they look in photos; the coral trim in particular is almost neon, which wasn't super flattering for my blue-undertone pale skin. That's my problem though, not the dress's. Was worried about it being a little tentlike at first, but the wide belt was perfect.

I should've read the description more carefully -- this looks like a drapey, boxy silk shirt, but it's taffeta. Like, what you might make a poofy 90s prom dress or set of fancy curtains out of. Stiff and no fun to wear, IMO. Sent back unworn.

Showstopper!

This is such a cute little bag for summer and adds the perfect spot of color. It's a nice midsize, and the crossbody is convenient. I don't love the drawstring closure, but that's just me; I spill and lose things so easily that I need my bags to CLOSE.

These are adorable, but also...ridiculous. I'm usually between a 6 and an 8 in pants (27" waist, 37" hips), and I was SWIMMING in this 6. I'm a 5'8 woman in my 30s and I looked like a little turn-of-the-century urchin trying to hobble after a train. Cinching the waist didn't help, since there was so much fabric poofing around the hips and lower belly. (My only photo is a bit blurry, so I'm not sure it gets this across, but trust me.) Sizing down might help, but I expect that would make the rise shorter, and for my long torso that's not workable either. For a Halloween costume they'd be adorable -- for trying to look like an adult at work, they weren't exactly what I wanted.

Beautiful but chunky
This is a hefty, serious piece -- not the delicate bling I was expecting to drizzle into my décolletage, but a thick-chained, sizeable necklace that I think would be better styled with a high-collared top or dress than the bare plunge I tried to pair it with. I'm not sure photos really get across its weight. It's gorgeous, and the sparkle is lovely, but if you're looking for a subtle lariat (and I was) this is not it.

Coachella princess vibes
I got this dress as a surprise backup from RTR when my original choice wasn't available, and it was SO much better than the one I would have picked. It's insanely flattering. I was worried it'd be too summery for a November event, but the colors are autumnal and the fabric heavy enough that it worked perfectly. The sleeves are so fun -- I was singing at this wedding and felt like I'd gone full Florence & the Machine. The way the silk flows makes you feel like all eyes are on you, even when you're just walking to the buffet. If you feel comfortable going braless (I did), the cut is perfect, though I did use a little tape on the shoulders. And the print is bold yet simple enough that you could go minimal or maximal with accessories -- I went with sea-green earrings and a simple necklace. I'm 5'8 and the 6R just brushed my feet, so I wore flats; if I'd wanted to go for heels I'd have liked a 6L, but that's such a minor issue. I got compliments on it from wedding guests across every age and gender spectrum. I loved wearing it so much that I refused to take it off even after I went home, just swanned around my apartment in it for a while. Returning it was a wrench. Thank you, RTR stylists!

Autumn fairy princess dress
This is a beautiful, playful dryad-y piece. I tried it out for part of a November wedding weekend, wearing with loose curls and minimal jewelry. I'm tallish, 5'8, so it fell to a flattering calf length on me, but could be a bit long on a more petite person. The boning is slightly awkward -- it's very shaped, so at least on me it rested weirdly on my waist/ribcage and then curved into breast-shape where my personal breasts definitely are not. But while it felt a little stiff and weird, it was still flattering and I got plenty of compliments. It does have more of a prom-night feel than I expected -- the skirt has quite a bit of poof.

Beautiful detailing -- a lot of dress.
This is an absolutely gorgeous dress, but I didn't end up wearing it to my event because it felt too formal and elaborate. It's definitely not a daytime-wedding piece (which I maybe should have guessed!), and the detailing could make it seem too heavy, especially if you try to wear it with tights. Would recommend for a holiday party or wintry evening event though.

Gorgeous but a little awkward
I mostly loved wearing this dress and felt like a total bombshell in it -- the way the off-the-shoulder neckline frames your décolletage is so flattering and the color is a stunner. I did wear it to an outdoor rehearsal dinner & photoshoot, which was a bold move & probably a mistake but my own fault. It's fairly restrictive, without much if any stretch, and quite short on a 5'8 frame. The sleeves & bodice stay in place well but don't give you much room to move, e.g., the dress I received had a minor tear under the arm which split pretty dramatically when I put it on & had to be (badly) mended in a panic. But overall it was lovely, especially when I was just standing still, and it was probably one of the most-complimented dresses I've ever worn.

Dramatic and unique
I loved wearing this dress to a friend's outdoor summer wedding. The cut is a showstopper, and the material is thick and flattering -- the bodice and sleeves even stay in place without tape! The color surprised me a little in person -- it's more of a neon yellow, verging on chartreuse, than a warm sunny one. But it looked great and drew compliments from friends and strangers of all ages (including tiny children!). I wore it with blue-green jewelry and sized down for a form-fitting look.
