A beautiful and fun coat!
The XL is a little big on me, but it still has a flattering, curved shape and I could button and belt it completely over a light sweater. The quilted lining is great, and the faux woolies don't shed or tickle. I received many compliments. My husband suggested buying it. I'll try the L first.

a hit at the tapas bar and theater
The stripes on this amazing blouse read dark brown or black as you style it. A black cami underneath worked great either way. I wore this to work (many compliments) with brown trousers. The second time, I wore it to dinner and the Guthrie Theater, dressing up black jeans and boots, underneath the Peter Som x RTR Penny Lane Coat. It's a favorite now!

best "white" blouse ever
I love how white blouses look on others, not so much for myself, but I took a chance on this one because of its details. It looked great, the awkward still photo notwithstanding (I need to learn how to stand for clothing photos). The weight of the fabric and split bottom in front lets it move with you rather than bunching or wrinkling. It was slinky and comfortable while somehow looking crisp and tailored with a nice sheen. A regular bra worked fine. Received compliments and smiles at the restaurant and theater during our anniversary date. I styled it with the olive Rosetta Getty Organza Midi Skirt, ankle boots, and the tan Ellen Tracy Faux fur Collared jacket. It looked fantastic with and without the jacket. I will rent this again in a heartbeat.

Love the front and back pattern!
So many sweaters have a great detail in front and the back is an acreage of "plain" especially white and camel colors. This one is artful coming and going. I found the dark part to be more like a midnight blue, and liked it paired more with dark blue trousers than black, but it worked great with both. Comfortable and smart.

high quality, unusual fit
I can't say exactly why I found the fit of this shirt challenging. Technically, it fit everywhere. The fabric is a thick satin without stretch that holds its shape (rather than being lighter and flowy). That made it look more tailored, which I liked. But I found myself adjusting it here and there while wearing it. I found the cuffs too stiff to button myself. On a thinner person with more narrow shoulders, it might be perfect.

Gorgeous green!
I loved the fit and feel of this blouse as well as the color. The sleeves come to my short-girl elbow in a flattering way and the elastic helps keep them neat but doesn’t cut in. The shipping wrinkles didn’t fall out of it, so it needed a quick low heat tumble with a damp cloth because I couldn’t be bothered with the steamer. I wouldn’t travel with it for that reason but otherwise, it was a great piece.

received lots of compliments!
I loved wearing something so trendy that I'd never own and received a number of compliments from fashionable folks. The shoulders and lines of this dress are fabulous, and with tights and boots, the short length worked fine. I normally wear 12 and some 14s--this 14 was snug but wearable. The fabric doesn't squeak and didn't make me too warm. The snaps are strong, but I wore a tank underneath just in case.

lovely sweater but it enphasizes the bust
The color is amazing (robin's egg blue), the length is good, the quality great. It only fit me okay, there was enough room but I felt extra busty and not in a flattering way. The vertical lines of the cabling are disturbed too much at the bustline and even though the placket is reinforced and it wasn’t too tight, the buttons still want to gap there.

Great tailoring!
This is a quality jacket with great tailoring. It travels surprisingly well for a linen blend, has a smooth finish, and the cream with thin stripes in several shades of blue makes it versatile in dressing up or down with different pieces.

a beautiful, classy blouse
This is a great piece. I shy away from 100% polyester these days for a variety of reasons but this blouse is well-tailored and appeared luxurious while remaining crisp throughout the day. I understand the frustrations folks have with the inside camisole but it was great not to have to have a separate with straps sliding around. It also has a hidden snap feature to capture bra straps in the shoulder seam.

sporty but dressy, comfortable, flattering
I took this on a work trip, wore it three times, once with a blazer to a business meeting, once to a nice dinner (adding jewelry and a wrap), and once by itself to a more casual meeting--got compliments all three times. The fabric is luxuriously soft and medium weight so it hangs out well from packing, drapes nicely, and holds its stretch all day. The vertical stitching front and back makes it truly stand out and flatters curves. I loved it and will definitely grab it again.

gorgeous pattern with brilliant colors
This statement piece could have presented a challenge for someone who doesn’t wear cropped anything, but when I saw it, I coveted the colors and knew it would work layered. It turned an understated tank dress into a summer party hit. The large pearls on the ties are fun. I also wore it with jeans layered with a longer navy camisole. The color scheme would allow layering with other colors too.

a go-to summer shirt
I bought this after several rents. The fabric is silky, which makes it look sharp despite a relaxed fit. It travels well without ironing and the pattern is fun without being loud. My only suggestion would be an inside hook between the first and second buttons as it mostly lies flat but with movement can gap at the bust so I often pin or tape it. I bought it a little large, so size down for a closer fit. To show that the shirt drapes well, I made no attempt in the photo to stand in a flattering way so people built like me can compare fit to the young, thin model.

a fantastic core piece that garners compliments
It’s hard to believe this dress is polyester, it feels and looks like heavy bias-cut silk satin in a deep blue. I haven’t traveled with it but I will at some point as it doesn’t wrinkle. Next time I could size down—it has a good shape with a slow curve and is forgiving at the waist and bust. I could easily wear a regular bra. I generally wear sleeves and paired this with everything from a translucent cashmere sweater to the vintage jacket in the photo. Easy to dress up and down. Love it!

Fab from cooking to mingling
Although this lovely top would have looked more fitted/flattering in the L, I appreciated the room for extra movement during the part of the day that involved cooking, transporting, and helping serve at a family gathering. Younger and elder people alike complimented this top, which I had been concerned might come off matronly, particularly in the oversized size. There is elastic inside the sleeves, which is helpful to keep them adjusted—not too fluttery. The pattern is truly beautiful, the fabric is light and cool but opaque and lays flat. Will rent again!

Camel and black rock!
I paired this lightweight Cece sweater for work with the Donni Rib Kick Flared pants (which I wore several times on subscription and then bought). I love the all-natural fiber of the knit, perfectly comfortable in August. It has a light sheen and although you can’t see the wide vertical rib of the front in the photo, it ensures that the sweater fits smoothly all the way down without fussing to adjust. It’s definitely cuter on the model but I liked it a lot and will choose it again.

fabulous finish, great pattern
When I took this out of the bag, I felt a little disappointed, but when I put it on, I loved it! The fabric is quality--light but not sheer, does not wrinkle, and has a smooth finish that makes the pattern pop. I wore it with black t shirts because of the heat but I could have styled it up.

fun shirt, boxy shape
This shirt is comfortable and the pattern is stylish. The "oxford" part of the fabric is soft but wrinkles easily--it was heavy enough that I could hand smooth it. I appreciate a relaxed fit in general, but on me, there was too much fabric at the ribs and waistline. Still, I wore it several times and would rent again. I love that the cuffs had different patterns when folded back.

it was a hit on a meltingly hot day
I wore this to the Friday dinner at my spouse’s college reunion and received so many compliments! It’s difficult to pick something “nice” casual for an event like that, especially in scorching weather. The dress is beautiful, the silk fabric is light yet has great “hand," it drapes and flows rather than being too light. The pattern is even better in person than in the photos. I was worried that the shape would be matronly but it wasn’t—not to young, not too mature. It came off sporty yet upscale.

love these jeans!
The dark wash and seam details dress up these jeans which were comfortable with a little stretch that held its shape over long days. The truly functional front pockets that blend into the detailed seaming are awesome. Flattering and garnered lots of compliments (including from teenagers), the still photo doesn’t quite capture them. I loved them!

I've rented this multiple times
This sweater-shirt combo always gets compliments. I don't wear it off the shoulder so it just covers my bra straps. It does have a very open neckline, which is flattering. The shirt part stays crisp and the side seams are placed just right to keep the whole effect neat rather than bulky. The charcoal color of the sweater goes with lots of bottoms. Great for in-between weather.

excellent zipper sweater
This elicited lots of compliments and I wore it a bunch. The blue/green/cream vertical stripes are flattering, the wool is on the dense side a bit like like a boiled wool so not for warm weather but great for spring, fall, winter. The sleeves are sharply set into the shoulders and have a fashionable swag at the lower arms. No pockets which is usually a bummer but I wore pants with pockets instead. Loved it!

a perfectly tailored sweater jacket
I wasn’t sure what to expect, knowing this is a ribbed sweater but liking the shape on the (thinner than I am) model. It weighed more than I expected, but cottons often do. It was warm, not itchy. Looking at it just out of the bag, I thought, “Darn,” because it looked bulky, but then I put it on. The overlap closure with two buttons was perfectly placed, the waist is smoothly curved with no bumps on the sides or back, it drapes well, and the sleeve shape is also flattering. I had to fold up the bottom sleeve edges for short arms but they stayed put. On me, the hemline went to just below my hipbones and floated there, not too small, not too large. The effect was great. I would not recommend packing it for anything more than a short trip because of the weight, but it is versatile and classes up a casual look.

Sharp tailoring, high-qualify fabric and snaps! The sleeves are not for the petite but can be rolled. Because I have a short torso, I keep thinking that cropped items like this one that hit higher on the waist will look good on me, but alas, not the greatest. On a taller person, or someone less full figured, this would look great. The best styling for me was with a dress so that there is a continuous line underneath.

gorgeous, versatile midnight-blue dress
This crushed velvet burnout-on-tulle in deepest blue is absolutely stunning. The dress doesn’t stretch but a pale, stretchy beige lining shows off the pattern, provides smoothing, and obviates a bra if you can get away without support). The neckline looks more boatneck on the model--perhaps if I had worn the more snug 12 it would have been that, but the smaller size was tight on my large shoulders so I opted for the larger size. As a result, the neckline drooped a little, making my necklace a bit peak-a-boo—would have been solved with a choker or mid-length necklace. Frankly, the dress needs no adornment, I recommend earrings and no other jewelry. It was light to pack, traveled well, and yet solidly made. It lies flat, no bunching, and solid velvet side panels make it extra slimming. Without being a “gown,” it would work for black-tie, wedding guest, elevated professional event, or just dining out. Loved it!

comfortable, flattering, legging-like but detailed for the office
I don't usually find pants off the rack that fit right. I'm a petite and curvy and my waist to hip ratio is more gradual than many styles. I often end up with a tight waist or trade that for too loose at the hips. These didn't stretch out in weird places like lots of knits do or look cheap. The seams in back and front and the flare elevate them. These are a dream. The only improvement would be pockets.

classy, stealth-elegant knit skirt
A beautiful skirt. I thought the pleats at the bottom had orange in them and it turned out to be metallic copper. The length on me at 5'4" was low ankle and we happened to be in an early fall heatwave, so I didn't actually wear it but I will rent it again for a dressy occasion or when I'm going to wear boots.

Pink isn’t usually my jam but these are amazing!
I appreciate a flat waist pant that sits a bit low on the waist, so these pants were perfect for me. I wore them multiple times and only once did I have the zipper unzip a bit when I didn’t flatten it down after zipping. But I can see that could happen more if the pants were either too loose or actually tight. Pockets were perfectly located. I wore them with a black t shirt and a black silk blouse. Comfortable and stylish.

Beautiful piece, tough for petites.
I received several compliments on this dress, which I wore over wide-leg navy lounge pants. The pattern is great, I love a boatneck for how it lays, and you can style the dress buttoned up or not which changes the collar. I could just barely manage the volume of fabric on my 5’4” curvy frame. I also had a moment of concern that I might be appropriating another culture’s style but compliments from young people of color helped me put that aside.

I adore this sweater
I didn't think this piece would be "me" but I've reordered it several times both in the XL and the L. I've worn it to work, family events, and a couple of social cocktail hours. I'm not thin like the model and oversized looks often don't suit me, but the unique details and camel with black of this sweater are striking and garner lots of compliments. The turtleneck fits best if I fold it in rather than out. The wool isn't scratchy and I'm very sensitive.

fabulous look, not squeaky, quite warm
These trousers would be great for freeze-babies but I run hot right now, so I felt too warm part of both workdays even though the weather was wintery. I received several compliments and I thought they looked great myself. They felt soft and moved with me unlike lots of faux leather. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 is the warmth.

comfy and flattering
This dress has become a favorite for work and days off. It runs a little oversized as a look. I could size down but I like the flow and movement of it in my usual size. The pockets are fab and don't spoil the lines. I do pin or tape the placket behind the elastic loops that hold the top buttons because it doesn't stay in place otherwise and I prefer not to show as much skin. On a taller woman with a longer torso, this wouldn't be an issue. With tights, it works for early spring and late fall as well.

A fabulous dinner at Vincci Ponte De Ferro in Porto!
I think I've reviewed this dress before. I love it and ought to buy it out before it goes away. It has a subtly dark-green cast to my eye, made up of slightly off-black base lace with soft gold lace accents. I've worn it for many hours at a time and it remains comfortable. The sleeves are a little long for us shorter women but the way the lace terminates (it isn't hemmed at the wrist, it has a diamond lace-finished edge) means that they don't look too long and the lace sleeves are soft. The underdress allows for regular underwear. I've worn it with and without nylons/tights and love it both ways. Even with the 14 being a little big and the 12 being snug, I can wear either because it's forgiving. I always get compliments.

The fabric is nice and drapes well, having a pattern of very small flowers. The fit was true to size. However, I have a 28" inseam and there was at least 6" of extra fabric. Even with heels and dress tape (requiring a lot of tape given the wider legs), I couldn't make them work. The model is wearing flats--either she's very tall or the trousers were taken up for to the photos. They're cute and flowing and will look great on someone tall! Please add inseams to the info, RTR.

It was work.
Full disclosure, these "cropped" pants on my 5'4" frame with 28" inseam were almost full length, which I had frankly hoped. It's a little too cold where I live to go high-water yet. And most of the trousers on RTR are for much taller people. I did wear ankle boots and they were perfect. I received lots of compliments on these pants. The color combo led me to wear black on top. These were comfortable, smooth, and well-fitted.

Going into the office again is suddenly novel.
When I first pulled these jeans out of the bag, I thought, uh oh. They looked really skinny. But I put them on and they were kinda like magic, with just enough stretch to be comfortable all day. Sometimes, stretch jeans pull out of shape quickly, these held up very well. I'm considering buying them even though this pattern is wild and trendy. The pattern is truly great--I avoid all animal prints because my mom overdid them, but this is like a wood grain that has been pulled and elongated; it's unique. And these are made in fair trade rather than by indentured labor.
