Length was just right. I could have worn a shorter heel but took advantage of the opportunity to wear flats as it was a long night. I do think heels would have helped with not having the train stepped on. Wore a nude bra, no one could tell.

The long is not going to be long enough if you're > 5'7"
I loved this dress online but when it arrived, it was just way too short. I had ordered the 10 L (12L was not available) and it fit great but it was about 3" too short. If you're taller than 5'7" I'd say try the XL or try another dress.

Very flattering, very comfortable, simple & classic
This is a simple, classic dress that is super comfortable and easy to wear. I got a ton of complements, and felt it was very figure flattering. The material was a little wrinkled, but that's not as noticeable in the dark at your event. It touched the ground in back but not in front with my 1.5" heels. (I'm just shy of 6') I wore it to a gala for the charitable foundation of my local Bar Association and it was great as it was fun, but conservative enough to wear to an event where the other guests are my fellow attorneys I see in court.
