The front v cut was super flattering and the contrast stitching makes it more interesting than a plain black blouse. Material is like a thicker silk, slight shine to it, does not wrinkle. Would rent again but didn't need to own it.

I wanted to rent a satin slip dress, that's cut on the bias. This dress appears to be just that but it's not. The fabric is much thicker than satin and has a bit of stretch to it, and doesn't look like satin up close. It did fit my curves, hips and bust (I'm 36 - 27 - 38), and did not make my hips looks wider (like some of the slimmer / narrows gals who reviewed this dress). It just wasn't exactly what I wanted. It did look flattering, I just could get past the material.

Dress was comfortable and fit my bust - no tape or bra required. I'm normally a size 4 and dress was true to size. It has no stretch and like the other comments, the waist was snug. If your waist is more than 27", I recommend sizing up to a 6. I'm a 27" and the waist was snug but not uncomfortable. Length was perfect for 3" heels. Would definitely wear the dress again!

I love the dress, just not on me. The waist was snug, but still fit and I'm usually a 4. I think my busy was too large for the dress (even though I don't need a bra), it just took away from the dress. I think it would look more flattering on a smaller bust, especially because of the high neck.

I liked this dress because it was both sexy and understated. It ran true to size, but because I'm not 6 feet tall it was a it longer on me than on the model. Plenty of the room in the bust. The bottom fit true to size, but the fabric doesn't really have much stretch. The fabric was also nicer in person than in the picture.

I'm a huge fan of herve leger, but I'm always a little worried that it will make my behind look too big. Not the case! The pattern, length and color of this dress just made me look 30, slim and fabulous! It has like an inner bra strap so it won't fall down and plenty of stretch for a larger bust.

I am highly suspicious of rompers, mostly because I don't think they flatter the derriere. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on and it looked great! I ordered the XS and the S, but ultimately the XS was a bit too snug. Also, I thought it was a bit short so I ended up wearing a pair of sheer footless tights to kind of tone it down all the leg I was showing. The super low cut front is very sexy, but make sure you can go braless (or use a low cut bra).

The dress is beautiful in the photo, but when I finally got it I was less excited about it. The details on this dress are really nice, but it was way too long for me - right above the knee - and I think it would have been greatly improved if it hit mid thigh. Also the back of this dress was a bit of a disappointment, I did not like the material.

I wasn't sure what to expect but when I tried it on I absolutely loved it! It looked sexy and classy at the same time and tight and drape-y in all the right places. The open back is like a nice touch. The only thing is I thought the dress ran a bit large. The dress was beautiful, however, it was a bit too long for me and hit right above my knee. I think it would look much better as a mini, but I guess if you wanted to go will a classier look it can work. I have 34D chest and it fit just fine, but prob this dress wouldn't flatter a small chest. It really flattered my backside, but too bad it was too long for what I wanted.

Loved the way the dress fit - I'm also a huge fan of Helmut Lang. The dress is subtle and original and I got a lot of compliments. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was VERY sheer. You have to wear a nude slip under the dress (something I had to run out and buy) because otherwise you can see right through the front of this dress.
