Beautiful fabric and fit

I really liked this dress and would have worn it to the winter wedding I was attending if only it had been an inch or two shorter. I could have gotten away with the slightly longer length on me except that I didn’t want the bottom to drag in the snow. I’d wear it to a fall wedding without the concern of it dragging and getting wet. Loved the sumptuous brocade fabric and the bust stayed in place. Best part was the pockets!

Stunning fabric and design

I really wanted to wear this dress as it was absolutely stunning. However, the style and the bow just overwhelmed my petite frame, I’m 5’1” and 120lbs. It was also a little long in the torso for me so that the top sat up off of my shoulders by at least an inch. I couldn’t figure out a good way to pin it so that it fit me without damaging the fine fabric so I ended up not wearing it, sadly. I had the most incredible shoes that I wanted to wear with it. The length was actually fine, just barely grazing the ground with the 4 inch heels I had for it.

Fun and flirty!

I’m 5’1”, 120lbs, and this was a perfect length and size for me, coming down to just above my ankles. I wore hot pink shoes with 3 inch heels and a matching clutch which made for a fun contrast. I did need to use fashion tape to keep the bow in its correct position as others recommended but did have to readjust it after dancing. It was quite comfortable to wear and fit me mostly well enough except that the top seemed a bit stretched out so I did have to occasionally tug it up during dancing. My only reason for giving this a 4 is because I thought the lace fabric wasn’t as quite high end looking as the rest of the dress. Overall, a great dress and I gots lots of compliments on it.

Needs adjustable straps

Would have loved to wear this dress as the color and fabric were gorgeous. The straps were so long and the bust just gaped in front. I tried pinning it but every time I moved in the slightest, it felt like the pins were just going to pull right out since the straps were so skinny. I didn’t want to risk damaging the dress so I don’t wear it. The dress was snug everywhere else and I would have liked to go up a size but then the straps ans top would have been ridiculously large. This was one of my two back up dresses and, sadly, I had the same problem with both dresses. This was the first time that I didn’t end up wearing a single dress I ordered from RTR and had to return them all.

Almost Flawless!

This may have been the most beautiful and comfortable dress I’ve ever received from RTR. Unfortunately, I’m way too short and the dress was unbelievably long. I would totally buy this dress and hem it if it weren’t so expensive! The fabric was so beautiful and flowy and I felt incredible in it as it fit perfectly in the bust and waist. But alas, even with my tallest (4”) heels, it was still a good 3 inches too long. I have another long dress on order for a future event and now I’m afraid I’ll have to cancel that order and find something else. If you’re at least 5’4” get this dress! You won’t regret it!

Almost perfect

The fabric and color were stunning and I really would have liked to wear this to the spring wedding. However, the straps were stop long and gaped up at the top of my shoulders and back shoulder blades. It also had a piece of the underlining showing at the base of the skirt. I did love how full the skirt was and it was a great length on even my petite, 5’1” height. It just seems that the torso of the dress was too long for me.

Elegant fabric and style

This dress was so comfortable to wear. The fabric was heavyweight but not so heavy that you’d overheat. It was a beautiful dark teal and black with a nice shimmer of gold. The back had a nice bit of stretch in it so it was easy to move in. I loved the pockets and the high/low design of the dress. I’m 5’1” and it was a great length, the front hitting at slightly above the knee and the back coming to just below tea length for me. I wore 3 inch heels and it was perfect. I received so many compliments! This was actually a back up dress I had to order since my first choice didn’t flatter my body size/shape.

A chic and comfortable dress!

I felt so elegant in this dress! The fabric is heavy and the embroidery made it a little stiff but in a good way. It was substantial enough that I didn’t need to wear a bra. I knew from previous reviews that this dress would be longer on my petite 5’1” frame than a typical tea length dress should be but I ordered it anyway. Indeed, the hem landed a couple of inches above my ankles but because of the full skirt and the fact that I wore 4 inch heels, it looked appropriate. The torso fit comfortably for the most part though one of the corset ribs started poking into my side by the end of the evening but that may have had more to do with how much I enjoyed the cocktail hour, dinner and dessert(s), lol! I also loved the detail of the exposed gold zipper down the back and the way the embroidered flowers flowed around the side of the dress to the back. It’s always nice when the back of the dress is as pretty as the front. And of course the pockets were very handy, pun intended! It’s hard to find evening dresses that aren’t long and slinky or short, body conscious cocktail dresses, especially when you’re short so this was a great find to stand out from a crowd.

This dress was elegant and super comfortable to wear.

I had been looking for a bright colored dress to wear to a tropical beach wedding and this warm, marigold color was exactly what I had been hoping for. The lace and tulle combination was a sophisticated and flirty mix. I absolutely adored this dress! I had ordered in sizes 0 and 2. I usually wear a 2 in most dresses but I ended up fitting the 0 instead. Even so, the 0 was just a smidge large in the bust so I wore a more padded bra. I also added a skinny gold belt just to define the waist a little more and to accent my gold jewelry. It was a great length, stopping slightly above my knees even on my petite, 5'1" frame. I wore my favorite tan and gold heels with it but no one managed to take a full length photo of me with them so I can't show the whole look. : ( I wore turquoise flip flops on the beach with the dress and that color combo was amazing too!
