Cinches in at waist, but doesn't cut off. The straps felt secure, and I loved the weighted hem that kept the structure of the dress. Such a great find!

The fit of this dress is small! I saw a couple reviews saying "size up" but I think a size 2 size up piece of advice equals size up x2 (or 3) as you go up in sizes. I'm not very vain, I'm definitely a 12 in non designer dresses, but the 14 in this didn't even come close! I didn't have enough time to exchange, but I wished I had. The dress material and color is just as gorgeous as you think it will be!
