Surprisingly cute
It’s boxy, but suprisingly cute anyways. The light-weight cotton has a little structure. I liked it so much I bought it.

Fabric kind of stiff
Maybe because of how it was cleaned, the fabric was pretty stiff. So instead of being drapery like in the model photo, it poofed out and made me look wide. Still ok, just ended up with a very over-sized look.

Fun cut, boring color
The cut made the dress interesting. The skirt especially had a fun asymmetrical drape. There’s also a little padding at the shoulders. My head is big so it was a bit of a squeeze to fit through the neck hole (there’s no zip/button/snap)

Delicate top. Shoulders a bit awkward.
Liked the top overall, but the shoulder seams didn’t lie flat on my (broad) shoulders. The fabric feels very delicate, so I felt like I had to be very careful putting it on / taking it off.

Very comfy, be aware of the length
It was a little tight the first time I put it on, but loosened a lot with wear. Be aware of the length. On me, it hit just above the ankle. I usually went with a platform shoe to lean into these not being full length.

Awkward fit, meant for very tall people?
It’s so long. I had to roll down the waist (and pair with an oversized shirt) for these to fit. It’s lined, but the inside lining wanted to roll out making the slit look weird.

Flattering oversized fit
Liked it for an oversized sweater. Draped off the shoulders nicely (Vs some oversized tops make my already broad shoulders look even broader.) Obviously did nothing for warmth.

Not too see through, a little long
The busy pattern means this doesn’t look see through. I could go braless. And the open back means you either have to go braless or have some backless solution. It was a little long on me (mid calf) so the slightly flared hem was a tad unflattering, but overall still really liked it.

Buying this one. The dress is loose and flowy. At 5’5” wearing flats, it almost skimmed the ground. I felt so statuesque. The flower pattern has a tie-dye effect that’s purple around the edges (visible if you zoom in on the model pics). The material feels like cotton so you can dress up or down.

Boxy, cute print, base color is creamy
I felt like the model pictures were mostly accurate. This is definitely not body con. It fits boxy through the waist. The linen has very little give. But since I have a boxy torso (narrow hips, wide ribs and shoulders, small boobs), it kinda worked and I really enjoyed the colors. The color looked a bit more off-white than in the pics tho. As many other reviewers experienced, the straps tend to slide off.

Didn’t work for an oversized look
Something about the cut and the stiffness of the knit ended up looking frumpy. The slightly too big shoulders made my already wide shoulders look even wider and more rounded. I love oversized sweaters, but this one didn’t work for me.

Nice leather, tight clasp
I thought the strap was unattractive, but since it’s just knotted on the ends, so you can remove it. The leather was soft. Color was great - as pictured. The magnetic clasp was tight. No worries about things falling out, but worries about scratching that soft leather every time I pried it open.

Heavy fabric, neckline wouldn’t sit flat
Fabric was pretty heavy, giving it a nice drape. The neckline is lined on the inside with a plain fabric, which in theory gives it a high quality feel, but on me, you could always see the edge of the lining.

Very warm, thick knit. Fun pattern. I’d considered sizing up for more of an oversized look because I have wide shoulders, but wasn’t necessary. As others noted, it was tight on the wrist (and I have very skinny wrists).

I usually find Madewell runs large, but glad I followed the advice of other reviewers to size up. Really liked the earthy, olive-y, yellow-green. It’s a pretty thick knit, but since it’s sleeveless and cropped, it still worked for hot weather.

The color and drape were so fun, I was tempted to keep it. It’s a little long though. I’m barefoot in the photo, but even with 3” heels I had to be careful to avoid tripping on the hem. The dress is lined, which is nice. But overall there’s so much fabric that - even though the fabric isn’t thick - the dress is kind of heavy for summer.
