I wore this dress for a formal affair. It was my first time using Rent the Runway and this dress was one of my two replacements. I ordered the size 12 because it happened to be available, and at the time I ordered my replacements it was slim pickings for my event date which was fairly close. However, I think a 10 would have fit better and accentuated my waistline more. I think next time I use Rent the Runway I'll have a better idea of how these designer dresses fit me and what sizes I should order - I have a muscular upper body, wide rib cage and short torso, so these dresses are often not cut for someone of my body type. This dress was slightly large on me, but I think this was less noticeable due to the forgiving and flattering cut and fabric. I also wore an adhesive strapless bra under it to help fill out the slightly too large bodice, and the bra bunched up a little bit on the sides but the ruching in the fabric and the slightly looser fit fortunately hid this while in other material it would have shown. I liked how the dress, in combination with my hair in an updo, showed off my shoulders! I paired it with rose gold accessories, including a dramatic rhinestone choker, dramatic eye makeup and nude lips, and received many compliments. I really liked the soft red color and the layered look of the dress, and also the fact that it had that "long dress" look without being floor length so I didn't have to wear really tall heels to keep it from dragging. The length also is great for showcasing a nice pair of shoes and a pedicure! I would rent this dress again.
