I wore this for a garden party wedding and it was perfect! Very flattering and unique. The neckline was lower cut than expected, you'll definitely want boob tape or a sticky bra. I also erred on the side of caution with a safety pin to keep everything in place, and I was able to dance the night away! Fabric does wrinkle easily, but it all steamed away easily.

I rented multiple dresses for a black tie wedding. I did not end up wearing this one for that event, but I LOVED how I looked in it. Very comfortable and stretchy material. I think it could definitely work for a formal event. I would absolutely rent this again.
