I thought the fabric was more of a cotton (I think I was fooled by the gingham), but it's a nicer than cotton fabric. I've never worn an off-the-shoulder top, and I didn't love the experience although I liked the top. If you don't move your arms a lot, you can keep it in place. Otherwise, I spent a lot of time arranging it. It's a pretty top, just something I'd rent again.

Pretty fabric, good length, and a good idea, but I was never able to arrange the dress to be comfortable enough to wear. I felt like the wrap aspect was designed backwards, and that made the giant gap at the bust happen. I tried to pin it (a cami would have looked weird--there was so much gap), but that didn't work either. I think you may need a tiny waist to get it right--it's too bad as it seems like it would be so pretty on.

Never could find a good waist level and the sleeves were just too awkward--can't raise arms at all or the whole dress shifts. It looks good on the reviewers who gave it good reviews, but it was a flowy bag of weirdness on me.

Like others have said, it's a nice enough dress. I added a blue silk/linen cardigan that complemented the lilac color in the dress, and I think it helped make it a little more interesting. Very comfortable; not fitted, so I enjoyed the looseness of it. It hit me just above the knee (I'm 5'6"), so the length was just right. It does hang lower in the back, too. One con: something about it on either side of my neck made it itchy. Not sure what exactly the problem was, but it bothered me all day.

I chose a size 8, which fits me in almost everything else, but it was just too tight for me around the hips. It's just as well as the fabric is heavier than would be comfortable as the temps go up here (in 80s); I'd definitely try it in a 10 in the fall or early spring. Looked like a quality skirt!

I first tried to squeeze into a 4 when it was the only one available because others said the skirt ran big...that didn't work. But the skirt was so pretty! I waited until the 8 was available, and it's everything I hoped it would be!! This is a skirt for the ages--it's flattering, flowy, and can be dressed up or down, depending on the top you choose. It's light enough for a spring day in the 60s, and I'm sure it would be great when it's warmer. I'm a solid size 8, and I find it fits true to size rather than skewing larger. The black background is more of a charcoal, so you can pair it with a dark navy top, gray, or black. I'm going to keep this one a little while with my unlimited account--so glad I waited for the right size!

I wore this to chaperone prom, and it made me feel great. A nice amount of stretch in it (not too much, not too little) and a respectable length and neckline made it just right for me. Like other reviewers have stated, it's so much more beautiful in person. The cap sleeves are a little bit poofier than I would have put on the dress (I would have cut those off and just had it without sleeves), but it wasn't a deal breaker. Great color and design; very flattering!

This would be a great dress on someone long and lean. Keeping the ruched tie loose and close to hip level creates the look I think it's supposed to have. I wore it to work with a cardigan over it; it was fine and super comfortable--like wearing pajamas!

The fit is large--needed to wear a camisole underneath, but it's supposed to be flowy like a kimono, so that was fine. I loved wearing this top--feminine and beautiful! Many people commented on how pretty they thought it was; I'll keep it for another couple of wears with RTR Unlimited.

The fabric is nice but has little to no stretch, so the very small waist for a medium didn't work for me. Couple that with lots of material in the bust area, and the dress just didn't fit. The picture here doesn't make it plain that there's a cut out in the back--I looked the dress up from the designer's site and saw it there; on me, it also didn't work--I felt like a turtle. Disappointed--dress went back immediately.
