Beautiful dress
I ended up not wearing the dress because I found something different. I would say go with your true size, or down one of you want to wear off the shoulders. Great material and length.

Great fit, horrible fabric.
After receiving this dress in the mail, I called RTR to exchange it. As previous reviewers mentioned, the fabric had loose strings, and made the dress look cheap, and was very noticeable. I think it's time to retire this dress. I was very disappointed because the design was awesome, and would have been a unique dress at the wedding I was attending.

Great wedding guest dress
I rented this dress for a wedding at a local country club. The fit was perfect and the fabric was nice and thick. I got compliments all night long. I'd recommend sizing up for your backup size if you have a larger bust. It is fitted around the ribs/upper waist and the fabric has minimal stretch. Best part, it has pockets!

Great dress for wedding guest
I ordered the size 2 and 4 for a wedding we were attending. I tried on the 2 first and it was just a bit too tight and ended up wearing the 4. Overall the 4 fit great, but was slightly large in the chest area, but I am also small there! the purple/maroon color is just as lovely as it shows in the picture. You could easily pair this with black accessories, or even nude shoes.

Unfortunately, the dress did not work for me.
I really wanted to wear this dress to a gala for work. I waited till the last minute to order, so they only had one size available. I went with it hoping it would work out. It didn't. The waist was too small. However, had I ordered the larger size the bust would have been too big. It also is lower cut than what the picture shows. However, it is what I thought, appropriate for a evening dress.
