An absolutely gorgeous dress, true to size, the material is forgiving and stretchy, does hold you in nicely. The color is vibrant and beautiful, the ruffle is definitely a statement and exquisite! I received so many compliments and felt so sexy!! I was surprised just how comfortable this was, no need for Shapewear, moves easy, I would just recommend stepping into the dress, Rather than pulling it over your head. I made this mistake and ended up wrinkling the bottom when it got caught as I was pulling it down, as well as getting a deodorant smear on the bottom, in multiple places, which I was barely able to get (mostly) out. Whew! Save yourself this silly hassle and step into this one, ha ha!

Fit is pretty true to size- side zipper is a bit challenging. If you are very busty or have a wide ribcage, you may want to size up one. Bottom flows beautifully. I will definitely rent this one again.

I am normally a 2/4 depending, and this was a tiny bit loose overall in the 4, however, this made for a very comfortable wear as officiant of a summer wedding. It is very evenly proportioned, so even as it was just a tiny bit large, I would stay true to size if you are an evenly proportioned figure. Very nice choice, would be even more fabulous with a fascinator (sigh, I didn't order one in time...)

So this is a lovely dress, and I was looking forward to wearing it based upon how beautiful it looked on other reviewers. Much to my dismay, however, I did not end up wearing it due to the odd fit on the waist- it was made similar to the White House Black Market dresses, which are known for the poor fit in the waist, i.e., it is too high (almost empire), and pleated so that, while the chest can be well-fitted or snug, the waist is too loose and makes for a thick, ill-fitted look. I am an athletic, more straight build and a long torso, still wondering why designers are thinking that a woman has a smaller chest with a huge waist-most women are not shaped like Grimace! Sad this did not work, very pretty:(
